1.its 2nd year now.did not face any sever thunderstorms,sever wind movement..we close the door 🚪 during rainy.in fear that if speed wind enter through door it might damage the sheet. No there s no guarantee for sheet.but it's said that it' works fr6-7yrs. We used 150 gsm single piece customised. For good quality you can use ginger sheet as well. We got from kakunje manjeshwara.we did not visit shop. We called and did online payment.we were using kakunje products like arecunut bags(plastic adike goni)from many year which we purchased in puttur local shop.so we contacted directly to their factory.they delivered the product in 2-3 days Contact number i have shared in description box
About terrace solar dryer.its capacity to hold the wind I am not sure.bcoz the higher we do wind movement during rainy season will be more.. There a Facebook group called karnataka karavali krishikaru(type in kannada) You can post there you might get expert advice

35days Solar dryer is very useful when there is unexpected rain sply during dec-jan ..so no tension if we put in solar dryer.. Evn this year.there was unexpected rain .we had put both harvest crop instead that..so quality of areca will be good for storage
We did this in the month of dec.. During frst jan If you do when there is no rain then it's better.some do concrete inside the solar dryer that time even if rain comes we can clean while making solar dryer..but if we don't do concrete inside and level the mud by traditional method by beating from large wooden pieces then if rain comes inside part will be filled with water .....
This is because we planned and executed ourself.. Only the boundary stone line was build by others rest most of the work done ourself including welding ,screw fixing..etc..so max amount is saved.. If we have outsourced from others it would have costed lil higher

Ginegar sheet don't come in single sheet according to our required size. They come in small sheet.sheet shld be fixed one by one Silpaulin can be customised required sheet
And for bamboo structure ginegar will be difficult to fix.proffessional who fix ginegar sheet you have to get it done. When we do this dryer in bamboo The arc which you fix on both side shld be taken care.. As here in video welding is done In bamboo we hv to fix for a pvc pipe.so during heavy wind securing the edges of the bamboo arch shld be taken care
