    We rented the Hollyland C1 Pro for Easter services, but found the single ear design and volume level a bit problematic for our roaming camera. There was also a noticeable drop in audio quality which made understanding the producer difficult during loud moments. Thanks for the review and loved the audio comparisons in your testing!

      Thanks for the real world review. Yes I concur that the single ear in loud environments make it a little tough.

    We upgraded from our legacy Pro Intercom to the Hollyland C1s. Big jump in audio quality. After about 18 month's of use, my team loves the functionality, however, we are learning the hard way that they are a bit fragile. Of the 8 wireless headsets, 3 already have minor bits and pieces that have broken off. May have to consider the Saramonics as they look a bit more sturdier.

    The NC is pretty impressive on those budget 2.4 sets and the eq sounds better than the Hollylands. Hollylands sound like they're trying to correct audio with a plugin on final cut.

      Honestly the synco headsets are great for the price IF latency and the fact they are 2.4 doesn’t bother you. The cametv are really close in price though.

    One thing I think are missing from these headset reviews is how good these headsets perform when the user is speaking at different volumes. We us these headsets in different environments and their noise cancellation is good but we have noticed with the eartech ones, their noise cancellation is sometimes too good when we have to whipser in quiet environments, it cancels that out as well. I would love to see you test out those scenarios as well.

    Got the Xtalk 2 and pretty happy with them. I´ll add more as soon as I need it. Just getting some extra batteries cause it just bring one for each intercom. But pretty similar to the C1 in features but for a really good price.

    Quick question before I go searching - do any of these have base stations which can interface with a wired Clear-Com (or similar) system?

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure about adding them into a clearcom system. I have seen reviews where people link the Hollyland t1000 into their clearcoms with this bhpho.to/3TRlFeM from Hollyland. All besides Synco do offer base stations but I believe they are mostly for "linking" more headsets together.

      @@bradtrenaman5728 the eartec wireless headsets also have a base station that is clearcom compatible. We have two base stations on different legs of our clearcom system, one for cameras (all two ear) and one for production/stage management (all one ear). They work pretty good but they add a bit of noise into the clearcom loop whenever a headset is connected.

    I'm looking for a pair of headsets that I can use with my neighbor, that will play music while we are out walking, but also so we can talk to each other without having to take the headset off. Do you have any recommendations?

    Thank you for sharing. We are currently utilizing SMS which I'm guessing even the Synco XTalks would be a dramatic improvement over. What would be nice to know is if with the WiTalk we are able to intermingle single and dual ear headsets.

    • @SaramonicUSA
      @SaramonicUSA 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey William - Yes! You can buy a single or dual ear system, and then add the additional headsets you need.
      Keep in mind though, that the Master Headset systems (2 to 5 user) can handle only 4 remote headsets, and the HUB systems (6 to 9 user) can handle only 8 remote headsets, unless you add another Hub and Link cable to those Hub systems, expanding it to up to 17 users.

    Saramonic WiTalk is the best option. Best sounding natural vocals. So-so in the NC test. The Hollyland C1 sounded muffled and is the worst for its, relatively, high price. I'm sorry, Synco, but your 2.4Ghz operating frequency will clash with some of our devices. CAME-TV is average. Yep, my vote goes to the Saramonic WiTalk System. 👍

      You can get walkie talkie headset for like real cheap. It works, but the experience is not the best. You either have to press the PTT with your hand, or to use VOX which is not very reliable. Also, it is a half-duplex system. You can’t talk back until the other end release the PTT.
