    Thanks for choosing the best DAW on the market. ;) I hope you will have more videos like this. Track from scratch etc. Liked!

    Very cool! Currently on the latest version of Bitwig, loving the way NI have integrated with this DAW. Now to get me a Maschine. :)

    Thanks for this video. Especially liked seeing your workflow with NI Hardware. I'm new to Bitwig but so far the seamless support of Native Instruments, Arturia, and Akai hardware is very impressive. Have not found similar tight integration with other DAWs. I try to buy as little hardware as possible so want it to be usable not just in the hardware vendors software.

    I tend to believe that Bitwig's horizontal layout and integration of the clip and arrangement views, helps those producers used to working in linear arrangement style DAWs warm up to and adapt to the clip based workflow more easily. Nice video!

    btw. Bitwig Operators are also very handy in the sketching phase to extend the initial x bar loop or add extra(even probability) based variations to it etc., can't be found in other DAWs so worth to mention it

      Yep, I've messed around a bit with them... some very cool stuff available there. The chaos function in the expression histograms are super fun to play with too.

      @@MarulaMusic + with the Expand(can be found in the context menu of the clips) all the loop based variatons can be printed out into a single clip "...The Expand function takes any Launcher clip and supports printing out two, twenty, or however many cycles of the original as a new clip (with all possible Operators removed and printed as permanent events). And unlike "bounce" functions, Expand outputs the same kind of clip you started with - note clips remain note clips, audio clips remain event-based audio. This lets you see all the nested patterns and relationships that Operators can bring to a "simple" loop, or even start a precise edit without the randomness..." - from the manual ...so it's very handy in the sketching phase, can bring out happy accidents pretty often (using some randomization and different 'seed' value settings for the original clip)

    Time for a full "Track from Scratch in Bitwig", preferably a Shadow Chronicles track. :))

    Did you use Bitwigs stock Maschine integration or Driven By Moss?

    • @MarulaMusic
      @MarulaMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Currently just the stock setup. Ive seen driven but havent had a chance to check it out yet. The stock one so far kinda mimmicks Maschine software to an extent and felt pretty natural to me.

      So, just tried Driven and it is way better. Little getting used to but so much more functionality and much better feedback... breeze to setup as well.
