I am a software engineer, doing (9-7) job with handsome salary but I want to start a "FACELESS" education TH-cam channel for govt. exam preparation. You must be wondering, why I want to do this after earning a good package. There are two reasons for this. 1. I know how to teach and very interested about govt. exam subjects. (Before job I prepared for govt. exams) 2. I want to create a brand and setup a business after growing my channel. As you came across so many institutes and know more about this field, My question for you here is: 1. Can I create a brand with faceless TH-cam channel. Does students trust on faceless channel. 2. As I am doing 9-7 job, how can I grow my channel alone. Few suggestions please. 3. Should I even start it or drop this idea?
First of all, thanks so much for your detailed comment! It's one of the longest I've received, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and plans with me. I can tell you're really passionate about this. Just like you, I have a background in software engineering, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Now, about the faceless approach-if you're not in a government job where this might be an issue, then showing your face could actually help you connect better with your audience. Even people in government jobs often show their faces because it builds trust and authenticity. No company or individual will usually take action against you for doing this unless it directly conflicts with your current job. If you're serious about creating a brand, especially in the education space, showing your face at some point is almost necessary. It's about establishing a personal connection and trust with your audience. But I get that it can be daunting at first. You can definitely start without showing your face if that makes you more comfortable. This can be a great way to build your confidence. Then, when you feel ready and see that the time is right, you can start incorporating your face into your content. I know many examples of people who started faceless and eventually transitioned. One of my clients, who left a high-paying software developer job at Microsoft, started his journey in a similar way. Now, he's not only making more than he did at his job, but he's also become a successful influencer in the software development space. As for managing the channel while doing a 9-7 job, it's definitely challenging but manageable. Start with a realistic schedule that doesn't overwhelm you-maybe one or two videos a week. As you grow, you can look into outsourcing some tasks like video editing to lighten your load. So, should you start this channel? Absolutely! If you're passionate about teaching and ready to put in the effort, go for it. Start faceless if that helps you get going, but keep in mind that showing your face might be beneficial down the road. Example of your client boost my confidence but he did in same field and my transition will be completely in different field. Anyway, I have created mail id for my YT channel this morning and will start it in next 13 days. Till the time I will make bundle of videos so that I will be consistent, if I don't get time to make video.
