Always enjoyed basic programming .. I remember typing all the programs in the magazines only to find it didn't work because it was missing a ( , )lol ... keep up the great work
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing...I had the same problems with BASIC 3.5. But on the other hand it surprised me on C#. It did some amazing coding for me..
Thank You George :) There are so many versions of basic, so it's kinda ok that it makes mistakes there.. but the conversation and explanations that it tries to compose are nonsense... I didn't try any modern language, so I can not say anything there, but it is great to hear that it can handle C# much better. Cheers!
@@JosipRetroBits Its amazing at modern languages. I gave him a Sql Create Statement of a Database table (Schema) and a function which adds a record (but different table). And i asked it write me an add, edit and delete function for the table (analog to the fuction i gave him). It made the procedure perfectly...amazing! Some other cases i corrected the code it gave me and i asked to explain, why my correction makes sense. And it could explain it to me.
Certainly not in the BASIC programming area, but from what I hear, it kicks ass in modern programming languages :) It is highly possible that it takes over some tasks from us, why not :)

Yes, that was a special kind of pain, retyping the games from the magazines :) Thank You Steve!
Great video very interesting can't see it becoming self aware and taking over the world quite yet. Thankyou for the shout out..
Thank You Neil :) Me neither, it is very good but definitely not self-aware. Cheers!

@@GeorgesChannel Wow, that is a totally opposite experience than with basic code. Ok. :)
That's is so cool, not had any dealings with gpt myself but I'm deffo gonna Google that..... 👍
Thank You, Lee :) Yes, it is fun, I'm still playing with it...
I cant help feeling that at some point in the future I might lose my job to something like this 😬

lose job, not quite. one becomes an "operator" :D we need to learn to use this to our advantage
@@alexsicko Yes, and this was the case with all new technologies :) Cheers!
The question to ask is not whether ChatGPT can fix your code, but whether it should even be allowed the opportunity.
Yap, we are getting closer and closer where that question becomes more and more relevant :) Cheers!
