Thanks for the very helpful guide, I also just bought a B. Rev drive off of Newegg myself; I had to crossflash to Stock Firmware first before I could flash it with the MaxBurner firmware, but other than that and a lot of restarts since I'm connected by SATA, went off without a hitch~ ^_^
@ carolina gamer thank you did it and it worked smoothly your vids rock am a noob and i flashed my liteon drive in my xbox 360 had to get key through mk101 used the probe 3 the x360usb and ck3 lite and worked like a charm and here i am flashing the liteon ihas 124b i think am a try crossflashing it to an ihas524 b i am a professional now just kidding lol still a noob but the videos and the tuts from tk make it so easy for anyone to do you guys rock .
i was lucky enough to find out that people in the comment section on amazon confirmed that it is the B version that i bought :P Im going for the ihas124b tho because its the cheapest

@BoyzNAcne you only need those tools if you hv an old pc without sata. Swapping out your old one for the new one is all you need to do. Flashin takes about 10-20 secs and is done with the app provided.
@BoyzNAcne No its a dvd rewriter that you use to burn media like music, films ect. You may already have one in your pc so take it out and swap it with this new one. Flash it and you can now burn the new games that come out without getting errors you would get from using your old dvd rewriter.
@BookReader801 Yes mate just swap it out for your old burner or plug it into a sata port and when you boot the pc windows should recognise it like a usual burner. Then just flash it with with the tools and firmware provided in the burnermax files from c4eva.
I have the same iHAS424-98 B like you. I would like Label Tag. Can you provide some general instructions to cross flash it to also have Label Tag? Thanks for a great and easy to follow tutorial.
@JohnnyGreen75 Yes and since you will use this drive for XGD3 backups you will have also to update the topolody sectors, it is all very simple, just use abgx to control the iso file and it will doo all the work :)

@BookReader801 If it's on board sata then most likely not going to work, plus sata drivers are sometimes a hassle, if you have a sata card that's VIA6421A then you can do it for sure, but the X360USB Pro is recommended.
@MrRapper379 xconsoles are supposed to be getting some external case for them I think, but do not hold me to it, if they do not just get and external sata enclosure for a 5.25 drive.
@kickboxin55 You need to repatch the iso and reburn the backup with new topology data from axbg360. Get the new axbg, run original iso through, reburn. It should now work with LT+ 3.0

@SugerNoor1996 You will keep getting disc errors using a normal drive but some games may still play ok. Its hit or miss on wether they will work. If you go online then this is a must as you would get banned quite quickly.

I was following your tutorial and after I updated the drive, it asked me to restart; after I booted the computer back up, it doesn't recognize the drive! It says removable disk. No, if you have room plug it in your PC sata, as you would a normal sata drive, and flash the same way as these instructions say. None of that other stuff is needed, just drivers, sata slot/cable/power from PC.

@manokdog You need to do this so you brun the entie disc without errors. This means you will not get flagged, anyone playing with a disc that has errors will get flagged and banned

I've done all this. Updated by 324b to latest fw then went to write with matching flash and after 2 dashes pops up with a write error... I've tried this with 2 computers now

@BoyzNAcne Simply put most of the time it will not work, on board SATA is rarely compatible with 360 drives, and in the rare chance it does work you have a risk of bricking the drive.

Just remove your old burner and put the ihas in its place then flash with the flash utilty program that came with C4EVAs firmware and your done. Simple and no need for usbpro (unless your using a laptop)

as soon I start burning a xgd3 game I get a error and thelieon stops orkin I ought 2 and they oth do it with the xgd2 it works great or if you down load xgd3 games it works fine just not for making back ups of xgd3 games so I went out and bout a benq drive flashed it with the o800 firmware and it works great

I sm burning my discs at 2.4x with opc off and burn proof off and calculate optimal. at 50% verification, the burn fails after i receive an I/O error. How do I correct this??? @halo32012 Follow the same steps but when I flash C4's firmware just flash your backup file.
