So I like to believe her family are woodsy country folk from Arkansas, with the women happened to be very intelligent (the sister said intelligent women run in the family) and are very active as Maddie does have a ninth degree black belt in karate.
Plus, her smacking that tiny ghost mole with her stick definitely reminds every one of the time Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants always get step or trampled on.

So maybe Maddie came from a rich family(Jack was born and raised in a log cabin) and she inherited their Fortune after they died to support herself, Jack and their kids so they didn't have to get real jobs so they can work on their inventions.

What I don’t understand is that if Danny’s secret was gonna be revealed anyway, they why did he even bother erasing everyone’s memory in the first place? The only thing that accomplished was delaying the inevitable
