I have started walking from Shahbag mor. Dhaka University campus is huge. There are separate buildings for each department. Most of the students live in university hall. I love the Dhaka University campus because it’s very neat and clean except so much traffic noise in the road. Overall I just loved this campus.
University of Dhaka the oldest and largest university in Bangladesh and one of the oldest and most distinguished institutions for higher education and research in the Indian Sub continent. The University was established in 1921 under the Dacca University Act 1920 of the Indian Legislative Council. It was established in the Ramna area of Dhaka City with approximately 600 acres of land.
Before Dhaka University was established, near its grounds were the former buildings of Dhaka College affiliated to the University of Calcutta. In 1873 the college was relocated to Bahadur Shah Park. Later it shifted to Curzon Hall, which would become the first institute of the university.
