  • The following video was made for our SAIT Polytechnic shop, it will be done in glass piping in order illustrate the codes on a 5 pc resi circuit vent, a 3pc wet vent, and a multi storey wet vent. These are all done in accordance to the 2015 Canadian National Plumbing Code. I apologise for the poor audio on this video, a better audio will follow on a later tutorial.

    Hi Fred,
I have a question for you, because I've been looking through the code book and I cant find where it says it, but:
Where does it say that you can use a 90 elbow on the horizontal on a fixture trap arm? I know you can do it because we do it all the time, but I cant for the life of me find it in the code.
    Thanks,
    Julian

Overall good video, one correction though, 2.5.2.1. and 2.5.3.1. are not Clauses but rather an Article. A Clause would be, for example , 2.5.2.1.(1)(b). The NPC is structured Part, Section, Subsection, Article, Sentence, Clause, Subclause.

thanks for paying attention to the detail of the code, its just an old habit I have of calling them all clauses.

yup the other power point circuit vent drawing was to do the introductory explanation of circuit venting, this one is more advanced trying to illustrate what it would look like in 3D.

You either need to improve your pronunciation, or you need to speak clearly with an audible tone of voice.
