In 2002 immediately he led the league in TDs. This was despite him throwing to short no-name receivers until 2007. The difference is no one was trying to call Brady an MVP candidate like they do with Mahomes back in the early 2000s, even though his stats were actually much better relative to his peers than Mahomes' so no it's not like Mahomes has different rules to play 1v11. We are actually just asking him to be compared to his peers fairly and not prematurely be crowned to people with whom he does not compare even remotely.
