WATCH | Police update double stabbing at Giant Eagle in North Olmsted

- A 3-year-old boy is dead and his mother was hospitalized after a stabbing at the North Olmsted Giant Eagle on Monday afternoon.
According to a release from police, officers were called to the Lorain Road store at approximately 3 p.m. after "multiple 911 calls" about a possible stabbing in the parking lot by a black female dressed in all black.
Police officials say when officers arrived at the scene, they saw the suspect, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis of Cleveland, walking toward Dover Center Road carrying a kitchen knife that was allegedly used in the attack. She was taken into custody "without resistance."

Is that Judge Brian Hagan standing next to the Mayor in golf shorts? Why didnt the policeman mention that Ellis was released on Friday by Hagan even though another Magistrate had concerns about her when she appeared before him on probation violations and requested in writing that she NOT be released until a mental health eval is done. Judge Hagan later told reporter Ed Galeck when questioned that he did not hold her because mental health evaluator was not available at the time and didn't want to hold Ellis in jail a few days waiting on one. WTH? NO information by these officials of Ellis weekend time-line but she is bezerk by Monday and murders a toddler. Unfathomable that this ever happened.
Ellis also walked herself into the N Olmsted police station about half hour before the murder that she committed across the street from the station. Police chatted with her but failed to connect any dots and sent her on her way.
