I love that they KNOW when to put jokes, and when to not. I would be really upset if vader's introduction was taken as some joke, and the joke at the beginning with 3po, artoo and those other droids is just hilarious, and the others as well
They made han's death and the obi wan vs Anakin fight into jokes though

The only thing I miss is the longer puzzle level design of the 2006 version. The levels in the new one feel way to short and I think adding like a fun hub with the chapter doors would have been a cool idea. Make the open world accessible in the hub as well.
One thing I really like, is that all the interior of ships and buildings looks buildable, like you can see all the pices, and where they seperate...

The older game is definitely a lot “darker” than the newer one from gameplay we can see. Of course this might change, but it’s funny that like every scene is trying to be funny. Feels like a Lego game.

Can we take a second to appreciate just how jacked those troopers are. Really the pride of the corps.
I think I found something. The character in the white dress, although quite obscure, I’d actually called Princess Leia and she appeared in both scenes. This is a fun Easter egg for diehard sw fans and is why lego games are so good

I was gonna say "I think Complete Saga is better" due to red bricks, but after looking back at the footage it looks like extras have been handled the same way so now I don't know, just going to wait for the game and see how good it is myself.
And for me The Complete Saga is half a Star Wars game and half a financial game, I love trying to figure out the best way to get all the stud multipliers in the quickest time because after that you don't have to worry about stud problems, you can just buy all the characters you like when you finish the episodes, it makes for its own experience.
Honestly I was ready to call Skywalker Saga the best Lego game of all time, but after they nixxed the character creator, I'm definitely not putting it in the top 10.

@@starwarsgeek944 I'm gonna wait until I complete my 100% run, then give the game an honest review. A LOT of points will be knocked off if the character creator doesn't get added post-launch.
@@megaman37456 It doesn't bother me that much but it seems like a lot more people do actually care about this, so if they add it in later I hope it's good, I found past games to be too limiting in the custom character creators.

Most people don't realise, but the planet Tatooine in the Skywalker Saga is a reference to the planet of the same name in the Complete Saga.
this game looks amazing!!!! the complete saga was my childhood so i love this
One thing I noticed is that at one point in the level you get the opportunity to open an airlock and send a bunch of stormtroopers into space. In the complete saga there’s a part of the first episode 4 level (I think you can only access it in free play) where you can also see a bunch of stormtroopers getting launched into space.
When vader turn the rebels helmet around that actually a move that only Jedi can perform in the original Star Wars game so I get to shows that there’s still a bit of Jedi in him
There actually IS a Polynesian spa in the second level of a new hope, and it is surrounded by, you guessed it, BANTHAS
I love that they used the clone wars actors for anakin, obi wan, and Jango fett. There is probably more, but I couldn't find any others

That is such an interesting and neat detail! At 4:40 you can see that the printing on Darth Vader's chest piece actually shifts slightly representing his breathing animation. I'm excited to see if there are any other subtle and hidden details like this when the game fully releases.

The capes are startlingly realistic when compared to actual lego capes, and when you're in a sandy area, characters and objects have dust and dried dirt stuck to them
The sky walked saga looks beautiful in ever sense of the way. But as a kid growing up in the 2000s though, there is just something I love about the simplicity of the designs of old lego models and figures. It made everything feel more hand made and like I could build it with the parts I have in my bin of legos. I’m certain the sky walker saga will be a better game but I’ll always love the complete saga more
I love how they have the Star Wars the Clone Wars III Commander Cody while being surrounded by 2020 looking clones from newer sets lol.

Also, the scene where you you look at vader and the rebels behind the glass could be a reference to the scene in fallen order
in the original lego star wars 2 they wore speedos it was changed in the complete saga to body bathing suits.
I think the column of stormtroopers leading rebels was also in the Complete Saga, although in that one you could actually (temporarily) save them

Other details I found:
Stormtroopers with headphones on while while Vader interrogates Leia and Antilles.
Vader force grabbing Antilles by the leg is a reference to what happens if you force choke a stormtrooper as Vader in the complete saga.
Andrew is just extremely wholesome and should be congratulated for his efforts to give us the best star wars experience

All of these rebels seem rather happy during their deaths.
I love the detail that seems to be present in both games, but even more so with this one where the Tantive IV, despite being a much smaller ship than the Star Destroyer, if made with pieces it would be so much bigger than the Star Destroyer, just like how the actual models of the two ships were in the actual movie because iirc the Tantive IV was supposed to be the main ship rather than the millennium falcon

I dont understand why people care so much about the character creator, you are able to play 300+ characters, not having a character creator doesnt change gameplay that much
I found this while playing the game, sometimes when droids are alone they drop their gun and run away from you, kinda rare tho
The escape pod they use actually looks like a 1 to 1 remake of the real Lego set of the pod

You make the best Star Wars Game content on TH-cam by far, wish I knew about you years ago. Super hyped for Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga! I feel like this should be the final Lego Star Wars game. Been 17 years in the making, good run.
There's also one where in the sky Walker saga in a new hope the story mode there's a mission called that's no moon and eventually in that mission you throw a thermal detonator on to a power thing and it sticks to it just like the complete saga.and I also noticed that the ticking sound on the bomb makes the same ticking sound in the complete saga😁
The hidden stuff was first in the original trilogy Lego game, which was years before complete Saga. So it's even longer when those secrets existed

I have question. What’s the difference between The normal game and deluxe version (physical copy edition)
In the deluxe one you will get 7 additional character Packs, a Luke lego minifigure and a steelbook. I think that the steelbook and the minifigure are only included when also preordering it but not Sure.
@@davidl9565 I believe the minifigure is while stocks last, but the steelbook is exclusive to certain shops (For example: GAME in the UK)
Deluxe version has all the DLC, a different cover, and various other bonuses depending on where you bought it and whether or not you preorder
