This LW4000 is in pretty rough shape! Most of the time when I drive by this wash, it’s always broken, and I always see a Ryko van parked by the entrance (yes, this car wash is serviced by Ryko, and they do use Ryko chemicals). I’d imagine the only reason this system is staying is cause the owner is a cheapskate, and has no money for a new system. Anyways, this thing is loaded with issues, such as broken side and top nozzles, uneven spray patterns, uneven coverages of both presoak and triple foam, and high pressure pump does NOT sound all that healthy. On a little note, this wash uses Ryko chemicals (fairly expensive and high quality stuff with nice fragrance), and it gave our car a decent clean. Drying quality was relatively poor (as expected). Overall, I wish I would’ve gotten a refund on this wash.

Looks very early 90s. Too bad most of those are disappearing these days.
skyvator I have to agree, it does look early 90s. It's also sad that these are disappearing, especially when they get replaced with something like a SoftGloss MAXX
Two of those in Benson, AZ got replaced. Both were at Loves Travel Stop. One got replaced with a Ryko Radius HT and the other got converted into a manually operated car wash with the spray. I'm hoping the 2 LaserWash 4000s at Shell on Kolb don't get replaced.

It is simple, they are thinking about money. Some old machines gives more maintenance as all the components are starting to break and the owner has to spend more money to fix it, so buy a new machine costs less than maintain the old one. But sometimes they just want to update the car wash service to attract more customers. Sad but it is true
CarWash Crazy Exactly, cause for some reason systems like the SoftGloss MAXX are freaking money makers, cause owner can't look for any other systems, all they see is Ryko.
I love the lazier wash 4000 one year after a beach vacation camping trip after a week of being on the beach I took my dad's super dirty truck to our local Mobil gas station the worker thought my pick up truck would jam it but it didn't and it cleaned it up nicely I had gotten the works wash it did an awesome job I'll use any lazer wash models

Looks like it's time to retire this system and replace it with a pdq laserwash 360
They should replace the wash arm like the blue version like Laserwash m5 cover and the upgraded sign and the new cover and virtual rinse and the new over glow that fit to old Laserwash 4000 with the new pump and same thing with laser dri of the upgrade logo says Laserwash series and the virtual treadle motion sensor
You should have gotten a refund on that wash, plus the Ryko van should have been there keeping you from using it at all. Very uneven application of the pre-soak and the tri-foam. Seemed like many of the side nozzles not working. The overhead ones had very uneven spray patterns.
Did a good job could you do revisit please see if anything changed

The Explore Master It doesn't actually have a dryer time, it probably senses when the car gets to a certain point so the dryers can turn off

Based on what I’ve seen, I definitely would say older Ryko dryers (mainly the thrust pro) are better in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I can’t really compare the two because I actually haven’t seen or been to a wash with a MaxAir dry. However, I can say that my experience with Ryko slimline dryers hasn’t been good, as they have been performing quite terribly almost every time I’ve been to a wash with slimline dryers.

Unfortunately I no longer film inbay systems unless they are unusually rare or otherwise notable.
I'd say this wash was HORRIBLE! There are better systems than this one.
I do not recommend this one at all.
