BIG 10 Freshman Of The Year Malaki Branham 2021-22 Season Highlights | 13.7 PPG 49.8 FG%

- Branham is a long-armed, 6-foot-5 off guard who can score the ball at all three levels and defend his position, and he holds some untapped upside as a secondary ball handler in the Caris LeVert mold. Branham, who will turn 19 in May, has developed into the model of consistency for Ohio State, as he has scored 15 points or more in seven of his past eight games, emerging as a potential top-20 prospect in the process. He is a capable spot shooter from 3 at 42%, is elite rising up in midrange spots and is slithery downhill to the rim while also showing the ability to make some basic reads. Although he is rock solid across the board, Branham doesn't quite have that one elite skill, at least at the level of an NBA starter.
Scouts will be evaluating Branham's ballhandling and passing to discern whether they think he can play more of an on-ball role in the future, as that would greatly boost his value given that he's most impactful defending 1s and 2s. But in terms of his age, positional length (6-foot-11 wingspan), shooting and productivity, Branham checks a lot of the boxes teams look for in a young guard prospect. A deep NCAA tournament run could earn him looks in the late lottery, similar to what we saw from Joshua Primo last year. -- Mike Schmitz

He’s basically a 6’5 Khris middleton. Very under control, picks his spots on the midrange, using pick n rolls and screens well. He can drive using either hand also.,Very efficient young player . Clean game.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
See a lot of Khris Middleton in this kids game. Great mid range game and good 3pt shooter
three level scorer for sure
both wear 22
the spurs are gonna kill this year; these practices wit him, dj, kj, doug, devin, sochan , primo all goin at each other everyday
A Nigerian spurs fan.👀

Dejounte Murray is traded to the Atlanta Hawks
Malaki has a very UNIQUE bag. Dude is 6’5 with such elite elusiveness and his offensive game is insane since it already reminds us of some NBA players. I say he’s 6’5 Middleton with more athleticism and a quicker shot. Plus Malaki’s ball handling is also a sight to see.
One of the prettiest Midrange jumpers I've ever seen
Who came here after the Spurs drafted him at 20?? A guy that can come off the bench and create his own shot. Very capable defender and of course, can shoot. Needs to improve his court vision tho. Does this mean LWIII is gone?? GSG!
I think he is, we have Vassel, Primo, Branham and Wesley that play SG
I like Lonnie and would have rather he stayed and live to his potential but I'd we're being honest as a whole, we spurs fans tend to just fall for players with elite athleticism. That was mostly the case with Lonnie
Tbh this kid can start and move Vassell to 3! Trade keldon and Jakob for ayton
@@diamantecarter8625 no
I don’t see how we keep Lonnie
Spurs gonna TAKEOVER
so after all our spurs has a good shooter. so Middleton like.
He might be in the g-for a little while tho but I do agree with you that they will take over
Welcome to the Spurs
I see Caris LeVert in his game
He shoot better
yeah i see that too
Good eye in his combine interview he Said he studied levert’s game.
@@ChrisMyma98 better off ball shooter, and more explosive
He’s already better than levert
*Caris Lavert with a little Jaylen Brown in his game*
Spur 🔥
This Draft's Sleeper Pick and you let Greg Freakin Popovich get him at #20...
I want the Cavs to fall out of the playoffs and get their lottery pick back and draft Branham. I think he would SHINE with a playmaking and highly efficient scorer in Garland.
your wish came true
Him or Ochai Agbaji I'm happy

Day 1 starter for Spurs now that Dejounte is gone.
Middleton/Booker vibes 👀 🔥

20th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft
Welcome to San Antonio
As a Cavs fan, I've been hearing that we may take him with 14. At first, I was hesitant, but honestly imagine having Collin, Caris and Malaki alongside, DG, Okoro, Lauri, Evan and Allen. Oh boy
Where does he play though? The Cavs really need a SF. Is he able to play there
@@jjn4825 he’s a guard but he’s also 6’5 so if we do get we’ll most likely use him at the wing imo
Thats if he makes it to 14. I’m hoping he does but I also like the Cavs getting Tari Eason or Dieng.
@@joshuaferrell384 tari eason
He’s going to the San Antonio Spurs
You are a Silver and Black now....wellcome to the family
He's a good player. There's no room for him with the Nets pick that will be conveyed to the Rockets. He would have been an interesting backup for Jalen Green if it wasn't for Josh Christopher.
San Antonio Spurs
Coming from a huge Buckeye fan and Cavs fan, Malaki needed to stay one more year in college. I really hate to see him leave early like this. He still has a lot to work on. Great player with a great up side though.
Don't worry, he can do that with the Spurs. They have a great developmental program and they utilize their G-League team well for that purpose.
He really reminds me of Khris Middleton & Bradley Beal. Under control, slow dribble, gets to his spots & hits the tough shots
If Leandro Barbosa and Joe Johnson had a love child it’ll be this kid
Can you post terquavion smith highlights gang
Can’t wait for OKC to pick him at 12 have him and Jabari, just traded the 30 spot for JaMychal Green and another 2027 first round pick, we could go from barely any shooting on the roster to a very underrated shooting team in a few days
Disappointed we didn’t pick him
@@munomatz2042 besides Jalen Williams we dropped the ball imo
He will fits well in Miami Heat. Let's go!🔥😊
San Antonio Spurs
His offense of game reminds me of Big Dog Robinson
Shulem Swish......Can I make a request of a compilation of highlights from a player ❓
just do it brother, I asked for a few guys last year and Swish came thru, whether he was already gonna make them or not, he came thru with the HL vids...gotta give him props for that
Gave brown/Baylor Scheierman/Orlando Robinson/Yannick Nzosa/Khalifa Diop/Mousaa Diabate/Jabari Walker/Ismael Kamagate/ousmane dieng/Patrick Baldwin/Nikola Jovic
Orlando Robinson is the best offensive Center... imO
Welcome to SA kid!
Great shooter
Top 20 pick in the NBA Draft on June 23rd
holy shit you called it bro.
I see Caris Levert and Khris Middleton in his game..
He reminds me of Bradley Beal. I hope the Cavs get him at 14!

He can play. I see some Middleton and DeRozan in his game.

He’s nice. Reminds me of Kris Middleton
another jordan poole
Reminds me of Langston Galloway. Quality wing combo.
Looks like Andre Igodulia type of game.
Lmao wait what
He's gonna look good beside Trae Young
San Antonio Spurs
I hope the pels draft this man
San Antonio Spurs got Branham but New Orleans did draft his Teammate EJ Liddell at #41 in the second round
Oladipo/Jaylen Brown type
He's going to OKC if he's still around for the 12th pick
He’s going to the San Antonio Spurs at 20
@@shakiemjeanjoseph428 U might be right
I would say cj/ jamal murray
Smaller version of PG
Bradley Beal or Kris Middleton
With the 12th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Oklahoma City Thunder Select
I think he's gonna be a good 4th or 5th option. Or 6th man
🧢 he’s better than that
Jaylen Brown 2.0
Kris Dunn 2.0
So I'm the only one that thinks his finishing sorta, again SORTA looks like that of Russ? Not his movement or speed but his shooting
A more athletic Wayne Ellington
