"Infestissumam" is the second studio album by the Swedish heavy metal band Ghost, also known as Ghost B.C. in the United States. The album was released on April 10, 2013, through the record label Loma Vista Recordings. It is often referred to as the band's "sophomore psalm" because it followed their debut album, "Opus Eponymous," which gained them significant attention in the metal community. Here are some key details about "Infestissumam": Musical Style: Ghost is known for its unique blend of heavy metal and rock, characterized by melodic and catchy tunes combined with satanic imagery and lyrics. "Infestissumam" continues in this vein, featuring a mix of heavy guitar riffs, eerie keyboards, and the distinctive vocals of Papa Emeritus II (the band's frontman at the time). Concept and Themes: The album explores themes of Satanism, the occult, and the church in a satirical and theatrical manner. It often takes on a playful and subversive tone, with the band members adopting the persona of the "Nameless Ghouls" and Papa Emeritus II serving as the anti-Pope figure. Tracklist: "Infestissumam" includes the following tracks: "Infestissumam" "Per Aspera ad Inferi" "Secular Haze" "Jigolo Har Megiddo" "Ghuleh/Zombie Queen" "Year Zero" "Idolatrine" "Body and Blood" "Depth of Satan's Eyes" "Monstrance Clock" Reception: The album received generally positive reviews from both critics and fans. It showcased the band's ability to create memorable and accessible songs within the context of heavy metal and gained them an even larger following. Controversy: "Infestissumam" also stirred some controversy due to its provocative themes and imagery. Several retailers refused to stock the album, and some live shows were met with protests from religious groups. Success: The album was commercially successful, debuting at number one on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart and number 28 on the Billboard 200 chart. It helped solidify Ghost's position as one of the leading bands in the modern metal scene. Legacy: "Infestissumam" remains a significant album in Ghost's discography and played a crucial role in establishing their theatrical and satirical approach to metal music. The band has continued to release successful albums, with each one building upon their unique persona and style. Overall, "Infestissumam" is an important chapter in Ghost's musical journey, showcasing their ability to blend accessible melodies with heavy and dark themes while maintaining a strong visual and theatrical presence. #Infestissumam: The album's title itself can be used as a hashtag to discuss the album or related topics. #GhostBC: This is the band's alternate name used in the United States and can be used to discuss all their albums, including "Infestissumam." #MetalAlbum: For general discussions about metal albums, including "Infestissumam." #GhostFans: To connect with other fans of the band and the album. #MetalMusic: For broader discussions about metal music in general. #HeavyMetal: A more specific hashtag for discussions related to the heavy metal genre. #PapaEmeritusII: The character Papa Emeritus II is featured on the album cover and in the band's lore, so this hashtag can be used to discuss the character and his role in the album. #Ritual: Ghost's music often incorporates themes of ritual and the occult, making this hashtag relevant to discussions about "Infestissumam." #AlbumReview: If you want to share or read reviews of the album, this hashtag is useful. #MetalHead: For individuals who identify as metalheads and want to discuss their favorite albums. #GhostConcert: To share experiences and information about Ghost's live performances, where they often perform songs from "Infestissumam." #OccultRock: Ghost's music combines elements of rock and the occult, so this hashtag can be used to discuss their unique style.

Ghost B.C. IS MY FAVORITE BAND!
You guys are incredible, I can't believe you're not more known in the states. Anyways, can't wait to see you perform again. Please keep central Florida on your map!
its pretty insane how popular they've become, it saddens me how they don't go on many tours though.
They tour all the time! They are starting an 18 month tour next year.
They might as well hit North Florida Jax.
Hell yeah they need to come and rock out here in Orlando xD
They came to Tampa a couple years ago and I'm lowkey mad at myself for never listening to them until now. THEY EVEN HAD PAPA III THEN
WOOOOOOHH

I am ex Christian and i love this band for 10 years and they are f*cking good 🤘🏻🎸

they should cover the Andrew Lloyd Webber Phantom of the Opera title song. Hey, Papa Emeritus II said he was influenced by the movie (older) in creating the band.
I still hope they'll do it sometime 💔
THIS.
It would sound amazing honestly
GOOD NEWS, THEY DID. It's on the Phantomime EP!
as a Satanist this song gives me such a strong PROUD feeling in my chest I can’t explain
I'm not even a satanist and i know how you feel.
I'm healing my inner child with religious trauma ;-;
Devil worshiper or Satanist? They are two different things.
@@westyavro I mean, you can be both, there are atheistic Satanists and theistic Satanists (actual devil worshippers, i've seen many demonologists that have their belief/religion based on demons and Satan worshipping)
