Theres a way for faster reload but its hard to explain on comments so ill try,
So basically when you reload theres a bar with a curved arrow and once that cooldown is over there is another one with a clock above the bar and that you swap to any other weapon then swap back to the one you were using and its over straight away, hope this helps.
