IN THIS VIDEO: I'm taking a VERY large but very average MDF dresser and turning into an absolute show stopper by cutting quarter sawn oak veneer on my bandsaw and refacing all the drawer faces. I also created a custom stain with Odie's Oil and pigments, and a custom mixed paint colour using Fusion Mineral Paint. The perfect blend of woodgrain and paint, and new hardware, this piece was just elevated to another dimension altogether! You won't even believe it.

That quarter sawn oak is amazing. Immediately makes it look like an antique. I’m looking at my antique oak furniture and the wood looks the same. I grew up calling this “tiger oak”.
You made a silk purse out of a sow's ear! Thanks for all your inspiration and the Woodworkers Guild. My husband died, and while I know how to use all the equipment in the shop, I know diddly squat about their maintenance needs. And little things like fixing the broken table saw height adjustment.💚💚💚

Beautiful! But I would have to have one pull for each drawer or I would never know which drawer was which! 😺😸😺👵
It’s pretty easy once you’ve been around it a short time. I also opted for these pulls so that people could add a label to each drawer if they wanted to. Might help tell them apart easier, but it’s not hard once you open and close them a few times.

Very very nice piece! You've brought life to a piece that was just ho hum & boring looking. Great idea adding veneer to the front of drawers. It does make it look better richer and high end. Hope new owners will take good care of it while enjoying its use! I wish It could be me but I'm toooo far away to obtain it.

I like the color combo but feel the handles are a bit oversized and chunky.
They are actually exactly the same size as the cup pulls- same height and width. There’s just more of them. Each “drawer” would have its own handle if it were a real drawer, so that’s what I opted to use.
