Hot tip. If you have to remove a passenger axle on these trucks equipped with the axle actuator put the truck in 4wd before you remove the axle. By doing that you wont have to remove the actuator to get the axle back in place.
I’m going to try out these Apex ball joints hopefully they hold up. EMFs are next tho just needed something cheaper in these times. Keep up the awesome 4th gen content.
Settled for Carli’s ??? Last ball joint u ever have to buy lifetime warranty if they go bad they replace them lol don’t have to worry about rebuilding like the EMF so I personally think Carli is the way to go
Same hear not doingjust the bad one. 1 upper smoked and floppy, good hubs got trashed unsticking them ,(seazed) Josh Back out the adjusters under the dust cover and reset the lash/ preload, The steering will feel nicer/easier.
@eddiereichel9354 ⅛-¼" .125-250 on your dial now as the slop comes back i can run the slack adjust up and it will drive like new. Some day I'll run out of slack adjustment and throw new wear parts in the otherwise new cup.
With that size, should I choose the 76mm turbine with the smallest AR offered to provide low RPM spool? I don't have any plans to be turning over 2200 RPM. It's a cab and chassis, so I haul alot or tow
Ran these on multiple trucks. Clay the owner is amazing, will never run a different joint ever!
I hope to have good luck!
Awesome stuff!!!! Im a fan of the EMF joints! Keep it up, cant wait to see more driveway action!!!!!!
Nice clean work with the front end components, I’m missing that 6.0 content
Great content! I think I'm gonna go EMF for my next set of balljoints. $589 for 6 years worth of brakes is pretty economical for a diesel truck.

That is a really good tip. I will definitely keep that in mind for next time. Didn't even dawn on me until now!

My emf joints were $150almost 200 cheeper than moog plastic crap.
Awesome personally I went with carli ball joints but heard great things about the EMFs
Good video Josh! I have to do this on my ol girl soon. The wide wheels don’t help with the life of ball joints
I was going to run the same ball joints, but they were out of stock everywhere lol. “Settled” for Carlis instead. No regrets
I got lucky Thuren had them. The Carlis aren't bad though

I’ve had great success with Duralast Golds and Dynamic Friction too. But the Duralast’s hold up really well.
I'll look into those
Hell Yeah Brother 🇺🇸🦅
What are your thoughts on those ball joint deletes?
Good video. Have a question, efi live or ezlynk?

It's getting swapped I promise 😂 it bothers me too
messed up 2 snap on ball joint presses on A 2006 3rd gen from Ohio. torch plus snap on press for win finally
Lots of ball joints changed on this platform that were still good. The spec is .060 measured at the knuckle.
Yep a lot of shops thing they are blown out because they wiggle a little bit
My drivers side hub and upper joint were smoked. I'm not doing just 1 side on my own truck.
Same hear not doingjust the bad one. 1 upper smoked and floppy, good hubs got trashed unsticking them ,(seazed)

@@daviddroescher Thats what Im saying. Unless you used a dial indicator to measure the movement of the upper joint it likely was GOOD>

Awesome thanks man! Also can you do you do the 68 tuning!..?
Josh, do you have a recommendation for a fixed geometry turbo to put on a 13 6.7 ram. Work truck, about 30% over injectors.
S364.5 or a 464
