Oustanding video! Thank you so much for the kind comments and wonderful review. We love seeing how people use our products, especially as everyone does things just a little bit differently and that is the wonderful part of having a homestead!
Girl i SO feel that way too about non sudsing soap, especially when I'm washing my hair, drives me crazy if there's no bubbles and atleast for hair, it definitely doesn't clean as thoroughly. This was really interesting video to watch, i was hoping you could clean it up with its own functions, like a blender lol!
I always Have to wash my hair 2X to feel the lather ❤ I Want in my hair now its habit n maybe some of my OCD lol 😆, So I feel that clean feeling 😉🗯❗...
Had a crazy long intense stressful day in my corporate work job. Was sooo happy to see you had posted, I adore all your videos honestly. Very cool to learn more about this milker, how it has helped, and how you work with it. I thought the same thing about the tires the moment I saw you drag it in the other video. I thought "that thing needs better tires" hahahaha. Shouldn't be too tough to update, but would think the company would realize people would be dragging these around farms and farms have dirt/mud, etc.
The tires are not too shabby really but our land is extra mucky. A lot of people I know keep goats in really nice horse barns with concrete alleyways and milking rooms and all that. How luxurious! I wish, but alas, I need ATV tires LOL
Your milk machine is very impressive!! I grew up on a dairy farm, so I am familiar with electric milkers. Your hoses are very similar to those we used, as well as your canister. We used canisters when the milk couldn't be put into the milk cooler. The cleaning protocol was very much the same, just on a larger scale. I do see what you mean about the wheels. A couple of tricycle front tires would be a great substitute. You need a little more clearance when transporting the equipment cross country. I love that you found a quality product made in America!!❤ Veteran owned is another plus in my opinion!! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!
I'm so glad to hear the cleaning routine was similar!! I know once a month or so I'll pull things apart and really scrub them. Possibly soak in something.
Excellent and informative by a "real" person . I'm shopping for a milker and comparing brands, you really made my decision easy and I can see why caprilite is so often recommended Thank you
I’m so excited!!!!! You got me so pumped up for a lamancha goat. I’ve always wanted some. I told my goat buyer and he surprised me with a 4 year sweet girl!!!! He gave her to me as a surprise gift. So happy

I need one of these for my daughter’s goats. We have 2 being milked and she’s doing that by hand. We’re hoping to get more in milk soon and that will be needed. Thank you for the review! 😊❤
Hello heather, I do not comment often, I do really like your channel. I love the animals and the animal husbandry activities involved including the explanation of of the details. I see how this is really good information to use with raising animals. You have an element of teaching with applicable details for the newer folks. Research is so important to the successful person. Being informed means you are able to make the best decisions for your situation. Regarding your painful arm shoulder, It is so important to take all the steps you can to find alternative ways, methods and equipment available. When you think of cost, Just know that when you just try to push through it will increase your pain and more important it will make all of your efforts suffer as your effectiveness will be lower. The best thing I learned during all my orthopedic surgeries (9) to date. The taught me to look at positioning and find out what cause the pain and quit that and find another way. This pain will affect your family more than you know because it is stressful for them. I have come up with so many things to keep me effective and relatively pain free. So it is very important to keep you effective and productive. So buy whatever you can afford BUT be sure not to run up any credit because to Me the first priority is to stay debt free. I hope you are able to use this machine to better so many aspects of your life. As a medic in the Army we had a motto conserve the fighting strength keep soldiers healthy and productive. Stay safe God bless you and your family and farm.
Thank you SO much!!! My husband Levi was a medic in the Army too, he was medically discharged in 2022. My chiropractor said the same thing! To figure out what hurts it and to stop doing that. It sounds so logical that it almost sounds silly haha! I agree about the debt. We did our taxes last minute and just got our tax return, so this pump and a few other goodies were able to be purchased cash. ♥️
Good for you Heather it was a big investment but I mean it will pay out I mean just for your elbow cuz yeah when you have pain it's awful all right thank you you're my favorite still bye😊
This is awesome! I'm so happy for you! I hope this relieves a lot of the pain you have to go through with your elbow! I have to say milking is my favorite part of the day 😊 now milking twice a day will be interesting starting next week 😉 Thanks for sharing, and yes, I would love a review when you are ready, I'm using a different one starting next week but I still want to think about one for the future. Blessings friend
Not too long ago I had tendonitis in both elbows and it's no joke! I could barely push my covers off to get out of bed in the mornings! My doctor said it was strange to have it in both at the same time and we couldn't figure out what was causing it. Apparently, cutting tons of fabric with a rotary cutter for quilting was aggravating my arms. Once I finished all the cutting it gradually went away. Problem is, I'm now making the third quilt for my 7 month old granddaughter.#worthit I'm glad you were able to get the machine milker and I hope your elbow starts feeling better very soon!
My favorite way to clean mine I got from friend who has a goat dairy and she said the only thing you need to do is get a 1 gallon bucket of hot water and add 2 caps of Clorox and run through machine and then wash can and top with soap and dry. That’s it
Incredibly well done video and you and your goats are adorable lol. My husband wants me to get a really good goat milking machine and you've sold me on that one, I think. If breeding is successful with all 8 does then we'll have maybe 4 gallons a day when sharing moms with the babies and more after weaning the boys at 6-8 weeks. And more yet the following year when our 2 current year baby does will be first fresheners and I should be buying a mini-mancha in milk in February after her owner collects all the colostrum she wants before selling her. I think it will be easier to find farm help for when we're gone if I have an easy to use quality milking machine. I'm considering doing a milking herdshare goat dairy, where some customers will do the milking one time one day a week so they know how and can pay less and be a farm helper when I need it and they'll know how to do everything bcz of practice, and the animals will know them well.
Did your machine come with a cleaning kit? I remember I had to do a line cleaning every couple weeks. It's a cable with a line scraper attached that really gets it clean. Love all your videos!
No but they sell those things separately! A friend of mine uses a submersible fountain pump and a bucket of cleaner and sterilizing solution to give the lines a deep cleaning. It circulates the fluid through as long as you need and that's pretty cool. I'm looking into that.
Good video. The Capralite does not seem that different from the Simple Pulse, but the SP is marginally cheaper in the standard configuration of the Capralite. The Capralite is a souped up Simple Pulse, with a larger storage bottle and a roll around cart. Capralite used more stainless steel than Simple Pulse (a lot more plastic, not bad just different). Both units come with the must have, that is a pulsator, adjustable vacuum regulator, and decent inflations. Capralite comes with standard valves which should improve it in longevity. Simple Pulse has its proprietary system which works very well, is durable, simple and cheap. One of the things I would like to know is if either system is Class A or B compliant with the regulations that are in place. Just eyeballing it, and not specifically knowing all the requirements for Class A or B milking, the Capralite looks like it is closer to a Class A system, but truthfully I don't really know.
I'm not sure either honestly. The rolling cart and larger volume capacity canister are 2 of the bigger reasons I went with Capralite. And lead time for shipment.
@@SageandStoneHomestead You are correct, lead time is the main problem with SP. With the larger tank and cart, both companies performance is near identical. Cost might be less with SP, but Capralite has a lot more stainless $teel.
@@SageandStoneHomestead Older SP systems used oil, but the 6 cfm is oiless. I have used mine for almost 2 years, same air filter, no problems. Truthfully, the Capralite looks very nice, but if you are building larger milkers you could save about $500-$1,000 building your own, but build an oiless system. Don't skimp on a regulator, pulsator, and get a glycerin filled vacuum gauge that at least reads 10 to 15 inches vacuum.
Thanks for the clear and concise review and also your cleaning routine. Question: you clean the same way 2 times a day? About how long is the total cleaning time. If we are milking only two Nigerians, our cleaning to milking (milk volume) ratio seems like it will be pretty high. Then you have to strain the milk too right? 😏 What have I gotten myself into?
If you have the capability to hand milk with only 2 Nigerians that would be faster. It takes around 10ish minutes to clean the machine, hang the hoses with the pump dryer and clean out the big milk pail. And I only milk once a day, but it definitely takes less work and time to clean out the small hand milking pail when hand milking. I don't use this machine unless I have several heavy producers in milk which is most of the spring and summer!

I use this during peak season and hand milk otherwise. The plastic pipe that holds up the pulsator broke after the first season and we easily replaced it with metal. It's held up wonderfully but I don't use it full time because I prefer hand milking.
Just wondering if you have a video that you go through how much milk you get from each one of your girls and what freshen they are on? I’m trying to figure out what is typical/normal for a first freshener Nigerian and the internet is all over the place with answers.
