The one thing missing from the highlights, before the goal and assist from Valverde, Modric took three Liverpool players out of the match, and that ultimately meant Van Dijk was more wide than central. That to me was amazing, and ultimately what lead to the goal.

The reason we lost the Champions League final against Real Madrid was purely because of Klopp's FAILED tactics, high positioning of Liverpool's full backs and defensive line up front gifted Benzema, Junior, Modric plenty of open space to maneuver freely and score in all counter attacks. Meanwhile, Real Madrid were smart enough to defend like crazy the entire game with most of their team positioned back in their penalty area defending Salah, Mane and Thiago. That's why we were struggling to get past their defensive juggernaut marking our forward players. I still can't for the life of me understand *HOW COULD KLOPP PLAY SUCH WEAK DEFENSE AGAINST A TEAM LIKE REAL MADRID!?* Liverpool should've been defending like them so they wouldn't take advantage of the wide open spaces!

Liverpool had 24 shots and 9 of them were on target, now if you exclude salah you get, 15 shots and 3 of them being on target. It was basically Salah vs Courtois. Mane was out of position playing as a striker and diaz got schooled by granpa carvajal. Great performance by the reds but it should've been better.

Allison is one of the best goalkeepers. It was one of the defenders that messed up.
We played every possible game this season, which is a huge accomplishment, and it's not surprising that we don't perform the best on the final one. The possibility of a quadruple coming to the final week is not something accomplished by teams with amateur goalkeepers. Yes, we were unlucky. Another day, we'd have won that match.

This was a great season for us, 3 cup finals winning 2 (should've been 3 but for Courtois, he was outstanding) and 1 point behind Man City for the League title. We played in every possible game this season, 63 games and we only lost 4

For real?All Liverpool except Mo Salah & Ibrahima Konate, were so nervous, kind of scared, and not pressing on the opposite player in the same position! The midfield wasnt doing there job so well, like Fabinho wasnt dealing with benzema and didnt give good passes, trent's corners were bad, Robertson didnt press so well on Valverdi,Alisson dealed with the balls so poorly. EVEN all of them had the upper hand this match. And for Salah, NGL he was so presice, perfect shots, fearless, always in the right place, dealed with the defenders soooooo well, and what was the problem? Its Courtois! Was Madrid's great wall. Madrid even with all the pressure, they were calm, played on the chances. Liverpool had to prepare their players psychologically before the start of the match. Good luck for us next time

There is no way Salah is winning Ballon d'Or this year, only thing I am sure of. But he played well in the UCL final. He was the only one that looked more of dangerous compared to Mane. I think he could have passed the ball to Mane in the final chance he got instead of shooting which Courtois saved.
There was a time when qualifying in UCL spot would be a great achievement, and now we won the two trophies and dominated this game. I'm greatful of klopp and boys how far we came. YNWA ♥️

Some of us may blame Trent, as I did yesterday, for the loss ... unfair. I had a day to recover and think: Klopp should have started Mane-Firmino-Salah, that magic potion where each ingredient was essential. Firmino, even when his scoring almost disappeared, was the catalyst for Salah's magic ... as Firmino faded away from the front line, Salah's consistent scoring dried up ... Salah, I don't think is very creative or versatile ... he had a symbiotic relation with Firmino, one provided the Brazilian spark, and the other scored. Without Firmino, Salah often looked lost, superfluous, on the field. He became an ordinary player without Firmino. Klopp forgot this relation of his original front three when he opted for Diaz who lacked experience at this CL level. What surprises me most is that Klopp always valued the subtle and tangible contribution of Firmino to his offense, and defended Firmino when he was not scoring much anymore ... I think the temptation of a youthful Diaz scoring through a spectacular run was enough to override the subtleties of Firmino's play. But Firmino was the glue that connected Salah and Mane ... without Firmino, they (Salah and Mane) are two distinct, separate entities that occasionally reach out to each other. Without Firmino Liverpool lacks Brazilian magic. You can outrun everyone and possess the ball and control ... but that is all predictable ...until you create a surprise followed by a finish. This is what Liverpool lacked.
In desperation Firmino was thrown into the game late ... and Origi ... never got a chance to do his miracle...
My conclusion: Salah needs Firmino, and Salah and Mane need Firminio to connect them. Otherwise, let all three players go.

I personally feel like when Mane-Bobby-Mo starts...they are a formidable front.
I agree that these trio have the best symbiotic relationship in the field. Mo and Mane trust in Bobby. That is evident.
Diaz is fairly new and I hope he will do well next season.
Jota is a hit or miss for me. Not consistent enough to boss the lw like Mane.
Now Mane is rumoured to be leaving. The LW is between Jota and Diaz....Jota really need to step up and boss the LW while Diaz should be the super sub.
Need a reliable RW to lighten the load on Mo. Harvey is still young.
Midfield should add 1 defensive and 1 attacking midfield. Heck I gander that TAA might as well be CAM next season and sign a new RB. TAA like to move forward and his field of vision seemed to focus on what is ahead and he cannot track back in time. Milner or Hendo usually cover for him.
We have cavalho next season and hopefully he will assimilate quick.

Proud of our boys,though I jx noticed our conversion rate is very poor in finals,this season we played 3 finals and could rarely score a single goal,the two cup we won against Chelsea through penalties,couitoise had a great game bt am not sure whether it's a coincidence coz we never scored even against Chelsea in finals,this is my are a of concern,if we can do in finals what we do in other games then our team will be unbeatable💪 congrats boys

Rewatching this, Liverpool did actually create a decent number of chances against a very resolute defence. Unfortunately, Courtois was superb. Normally I'd defend TAA as usually if he's lacking in defense it's cause he was bombing forward and couldn't get back on time, but in this occassion it was just really poor awareness. Though take nothing away Madrid, they are a super team, who had a really difficult route to the final.
You have a great team. Congratulations with a season you had 👏
