    My 03 Silverado with a 5.3, & 4X4 looks better all the time, & with only 81,325 on the clock it's a keeper, & it's been paid for along time ago. Today's trucks are so over priced! But I still like looking at them; Thanks for the review.

      That does sound like a keeper! There’s been so many times I’ve fantasized about a regular short bed early 2000’s to run a boosted V8, lol. Maybe someday. I’m glad you’re enjoying yours, thanks for watching! 🙂

    I had a 2020 Sierra and a 2022 Sierra, both with the 5.3. I now have a 2023 Silverado with the 2.7 and I don't miss my V8. It tows just as strong and acceleration is on par if not better than the 5.3. the fuel economy is noticeably better too. I just got back from a trip, drove 600kms up north to a cottage with the truck fully loaded, gear and passengers. I got 10.4 L/100km and that's cruising at about 120 for most of the way.

    What ever happened to the standard cab with the 6 or 8' bed? I don't want to feel like I'm driving a school bus all over town. Thanks for the info but $48K no thanks!

      Which trim level and engine did you have? I noticed your other comment was on a 5.3 RST. Again, very sorry to hear about your experience. ☹️

    Hello. I just bought this truck (LT 2FL Turbomax, 7,000lbs) about 3 weeks ago, this car is beautiful, good, strong engine. I want to buy an RV but I don't know if this vehicle can tow an RV or not? If so, what is the maximum weight of an RV? Thanks.

      I’d recommend you ask this type of question on a Silverado social media forum, you’ll likely get great answers from those experienced with towing in that exact truck! Best of luck. 🙂

    Silverado is a much better bang for your buck than the small Colorado !

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true! But if you don’t need the capacity mid size trucks are so much more manageable around town. Personally I’m pretty excited to review the new 2.7 Colorado when it’s available. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    • @elche1976
      @elche1976 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @freedom star are they though? Can't park in garage. Harder to squeeze in and around town. Worse mpg. Worse on trails when you still get pinstripes on the smaller truck.
      You do get larger cabin space and if you need to tow or have a bigger bed, yes, it is better. But if you don't need to, paying 10-15k+ isn't the bang for your buck you think it is. Bigger doesn't mean better.
      They both have their functions.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  ปีที่แล้ว

      Amen! Let the full size and mid size co-exist in each of their respective domains of dominance! 😉

    Nice run. A couple more passes would probably break into the 6's .
    I ordered the 2.7 in a Colorado Z71. If you're getting 7 flat or better in the full size, I would think the Colorado would be at least a second quicker or more with the 310/430 motor, and probably 1000 pounds less. Hopefully it will get into the high 5 second range with a little luck. If not maybe Gale Banks can help it out. 😉

      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! Congrats on the new Colorado! Any ETA provided yet? I bet it could be close to high 5’s, just depends on how much torque those 33” wheels eat up! 🙂 After market will definitely be fun on that platform.

    I have a 2023 silverado LT w/ 2.7. Coming from a 23’ Bronco with the 2.7 and before that a 19’ F-150 with 2.7. I work at a Cadillac GMC dealer. I honestly hate my silverado. Will be changing for Sierra with either 3.0 diesel or 6.2 v8 gas. My F-150 had 20” rims and got 19 mpg my bronco is on 35” tires with 17 bead locks gets 17 mpg. My silverado gets… wait for it… 12 mpg. The power also lacks I know it’s a tune but even in sports mode it doesn’t feels as fast as my old f-150 and bronco. Honestly hate this drive train the only thing is the transmission shifts a lot smoother than the 10 speeds in the fords I had. Other than that performance, sound, and economy mpg sucks. Never again will I get a 4 cylinder in a truck I was apprehensive with a 6 cylinder in the Fords and those performed well so I gave this chevy a try with the drive train and it fails. Suspension is also squishier which I don’t like and overall handling isn’t as good. Just honest opinions from first hand experience I’ve been selling cars for 7 years now driven nearly all models and makes

      I just bought one. They gave me a good deal price wise but now I’m worried. I’ve had 2 v8 Silverado’s and they were good trucks. I drive alot around town so I thought this might be a good solution since I really don’t tow much. Now you got me all depressed lol
