I did the same with my heirloom tomatoes after some local cutter worms decided to visit...little buggers. Works great and I'm supper glad I got to them before they were totally dead.
You'll have a staedy cash flow coming in outta that joint soon ,and the best part is your produce will be a lot better than supermarket garbage & your customers will taste the difference ,even with your eggs! Your next challenge will be pests ,no im not talking about your pet Goat ,LOL! Good show.
@@chillidonela Put a white sheet in the middle of your garden with a tall enough wooden stake at each end ,so the sheet resembles a wall. When it's dark put a gas lantern or torch in the middle of the sheet at the base facing up ,unless you have an extension cord long enough! Come back in a couple of hours & whatever 'pests' are in your garden will be on that sheet. Start snapping photo's on ya phone & google lens will tell you what ya got. Once identified you find what their enemies are & introduce them to your garden ,no chemicals needed!

Check out the Joe Jenkins humanure handbook if you haven't already. Not a subject many people like to talk about but it was a game changer for my compost. Extremely easy to build hot compost piles with his system and he presents a convincing body of evidence which suggests the finished compost is totally pathogen free. PS, love watching your videos. Your production quality and charisma noticeably improve with every video.
G'day Chilli, yeah those cheap commercial soils and composts don't have much nutrients. I used some of the cheap compost one year and it was contaminated with Roundup. You have a great patch of Jerusalem artichokes that's going to look amazing when in flower. Hope you received your seeds I sent. God bless you.🦘👍
OH NO! That's so bad! You try and grow an organic garden, and then you find out the soil has Roundup 🤦♀️. Hope your garden is ok now! Thank you so much for the seeds! They came and I have sown them. ❤
@chillidonela yeah the area of garden is not being used at the moment I've left it without any thing for a year going to plant some stuff next autumn it should be good then. Glad you got your seeds.
You are a breath of fresh air and your enthusiasm is infectious !, good luck with your channel I like it very much .
Greetings from Africa, God bless you 🎉
Great video once again.
THNAKYOU Chilli. I love following your progress, discoveries, suggestions and ideas.

@ aw thank you!!! Will have to team up one day💪🏽
@@Homestead_OnTheRock_ Would LOVE to!!
Your sadder cucs would beneft from some dilute liquid feed. Weed or worm tea.
@dalechenoweth915 I have given them some seaweed tea, but I might give them some worm tea. Hopefully, they get better
I can't agree more soil is everything
Nice to see another video again, Chilli & an informative one at that. My wife said I'm actually learning something from you at my age. 😂
@GarryWatkins Lol 😆

Lol, yeah very curious to see the pest pressure here. Going to do lots of companion planting to minimise it. Lets see how it goes.

Hey Chilli, it’s fascinating to observe the different growth rates in various soil types. What’s your opinion on growing plants using aeroponics?
@booksalongwithstuff I have never tried aeroponics. And I am a little sceptical.
A comment for the algorithm…
