What Happened in My Family, Will Not Happen to Me in Jesus’ Name
Almighty God, we boldly approach Your throne, declaring that every negative cycle, curse, and pattern in our families will not be our portion. Your Word in (Ezekiel 18 verses 19 to 20) says, “The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father.” We stand on this truth, severing every consequence of past sins in Jesus’ name. We walk in the liberty You have ordained for us.
Thank You for the assurance of new beginnings. As (2 Corinthians 5 verse 17) declares, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” We renounce generational curses, cycles of failure, and pain through the blood of Jesus. We are no longer defined by family struggles but by Your redemption.
Your Word in (Lamentations 5 verse 7) acknowledges ancestral iniquities, yet Christ bore them on the cross. Every ancestral sin and iniquity is nullified in Jesus’ name. We declare that their power over our lives is destroyed by the authority of Your Word and the name of Jesus.
Lord, (John 8 verse 36) proclaims, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” We claim our freedom from bondage, inherited yokes, and oppression. Your sacrifice secures our deliverance. No curse can stand against the finished work of Christ.
Your covenant blessings in (Deuteronomy 7 verse 9) remind us of Your faithfulness to a thousand generations. We proclaim that Your blessings override every curse. Where curses once reigned, health, peace, and prosperity now flow. Let Your covenant take root in our lives and generations.
We wage war against spiritual strongholds. As (2 Corinthians 10 verses 4 to 5) declares, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God.” We pull down every stronghold of darkness tied to our family history. Ancestral and familiar spirits are destroyed by the power of God. We cast down every thought opposing Your will.
Your plans in (Jeremiah 29 verse 11) declare peace and prosperity. We reject inherited limitations and align with Your divine purpose. Every negative expectation and familial setback is broken in Jesus’ name. We declare that no family history can override the destiny You have for us.
According to (Isaiah 54 verse 15), “Whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall.” We declare that all enemy schemes to repeat cycles of defeat are nullified. Your protection ensures no replication of family struggles.
Through (Genesis 12 verse 3), we claim the blessing of Abraham. “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee.” We decree that generational blessings replace curses. Our families are marked for greatness and divine favor.
We reject cycles of shame, stagnation, and missed opportunities. The failures of our ancestors will not hinder us. We proclaim that delays are reversed, and we will fulfill every divine purpose. Our lives will testify to Your greatness.
(Job 22 verse 28) says, “Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established.” We decree that what happened in our families will not happen to us. Cycles of poverty, sickness, and failure are broken. We speak life, health, and prosperity, declaring Your light shines on our paths.
(Revelation 12 verse 11) assures victory through the blood of the Lamb. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and families. Every curse is broken, every yoke destroyed, and every cycle reversed. The blood of Jesus declares freedom and redemption.
Finally, we rest in (Psalm 37 verse 25): “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken.” We trust in Your provision, rejecting patterns of lack and defeat. We walk in Your abundance and peace, confident in Your faithfulness.
We thank You, Lord, for breaking every chain of the past and establishing us in freedom. What happened in our families will not happen to us. We walk in Your liberty and blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
