Right past where people were doing the rock climbing is a little cove where they filmed the end of the planet of the apes with the Statue of Liberty. If people want to extend the hike there is a staircase that take you down to the cove that shown on the video. You can have a nice walk on an uncrowded beach.
I think we knew about the cove but we didn’t know about that filming of planet of the apes. That’s pretty cool!! Thank you for that interesting info. Going to check out the movie again and look for it.
@@HikeHubIn the 1980s it was rumored that Pirates Cove was a nude beach. But never actually saw anyone nude there. Lot of empty beer cans could be found above it probably from guys drinking beer waiting to watch women sunbathe nude there.
