Appreciate the overview it was great working with Jason on this set to bring some colors to the range from our terrain team perspective that we hope the community enjoys!
this is the winner of the 3 for me will def be picking up the set when it drops. I tend to paint with a lot of red/yellow/brown so this is a big win. ty for the showcase
I love that they are expanding beyond matte. Honestly in practice, i layered, wet branded, and mixed the satin with there matte colors and i honestly could not tell a difference it all dried matte. Only really noticed it if you are just straight painting with it by itself right besidea matte. Also i just do a quick light matte varnish which will turn your satin paints matte as well, so if you do notice a difference, that will take care of it.
That Red Oxide looks like it would work so great for the recent Horus Heresy Blood Angels that Cult of Paint did. I just got gifted this set and I’m pretty stoked to try out most of these.
Love your videos great work :). Also wondering in your xl palette you only have a small paper and not the xl size and was wondering why? Lol. Also size brand is your brush. Looks nice
I often use that Khaki as a superweapon for contrast paints/inks: Still neutral enough to not make the more transparent colors shift radically, but providing more interesting undertones than just going with the citadel neutral colors. It makes every brown punchier, just like when we mix a little of ice yellow into a traditional paint.
What confuses me about these signature sets is do they become part of the range forever? I don't want to get attached to a painter's signature color only for it to be discontinued down the line. I definitely need the red and orange, though. You're right there are some pretty big gaps there in those ranges.
I do! Check out my top 10 pro Acryl paints video! I’d get the starter set which is fantastic and then supplement with those 10 which I purposefully chose my favorites that aren’t in the starter set.
One of my all time favorite is black green. So saturated and high pigment making it a must for any dark green mixes I have done did most of my chaos warriors in various shades using this as the base for all the armor

Orange Red will be a great highlight for their bold pyrrole red
Yeah! Mine comes tomorrow and that's exactly what I was going to do first thing 😉
Orange oxide looks like a good base for yellow. Thanks for being the first overview! I can't wait for April!
Loving all the new colors from Monument.. but let's talk about that vibing background music ;)
Gotta have chill music 😂

Thank you! This made me lean towards buying Ben and Matt's Sig sets as I like the colors but prefer matte finishes.

Those are promising. Agreed entirely on the Magnesium! That brings a great new metallic option.
My favorite metal has been Scale 75’s decayed metal. Looks like that magnesium will be taking that title.

Oh man I'm going to try this!

These are all permanent additions to the range.
Never tried monument hobby paints, got any recommendations on what paints to try out first?

I don't know if the screen + camera is playing tricks on me, but is that red basically Mephiston red, but with far superior dilution?
It really does look like it! Mine comes tomorrow and if it is id definitely be happy
Oxide colours are always versatile. I am looking forward to trying these out. Thanks for the in-depth reviews.
That drab brown is definitely a missing color in their range for military schemes.
Wait, so there are 18 new colors? I thought there were just the Rogue Hobbies and Flameon Miniatures sets.
18!
@@CrashCourseHobbies Nice! 👌🏻
The other 6 is the Adepticon spray team set.
needs some Grognard Gore.
"Cah-key" not cacky. That means something else... lol
