Yes, there *was* trust in *certain* politicians, and *not* misplaced trust either.
Only low-information people trot out the old chestnut about all politicians being the same. Those people are too dull witted to have a meaningful discussion about politics.

    KATE MIDDLETON
Deepfakes are a serious concern. SAG-AFTRA went on strike for 118 days in 2023 due to issues related to this technology. There may be claims in the future about a public figure passing away from "cancer." It's important to note that domestic violence is unacceptable, regardless of one's status or future prospects.
Currently, there is sympathy for King Charles, as it appears Prince William has been involved in a significant controversy. The situation seems quite complicated, and there is concern for the safety of the children involved.

I find this so frustrating. There's really no such thing as AI, just as there's no such thing as 'The Cloud'. It's basically a learning programme backed up by Moore's Law about the power of computers. This has not just 'appeared', it's been appearing and has just reached a certain level. And that will continue. For the same reason, Deepfake is just 'better fakes'. And don't get me started on 'quantum'.

It makes it easier for you to cope with your fear, yeah? So scared to follow Cameron’s simple words and think about the stuff his original expression meant to inspire people to think about.

AI has very flawed linguistics. It's built on a dataset of whatever it can find on the internet, meaning it's heavily biased and precarious at best. You're still much better getting an expert who understands the nuances in language, to translate. That way you're not spreading fake news.
