Lord knows I don’t need more blush (liquid or otherwise), but this is Hourglass so I’ve been so interested in these. Scene, Moment, and Craft all spoke to me in the swatches. Oohh, they last, they blend, they are not sticky? I’m in! I’m okay with a learning curve! Scene reminds me of Rare Beauty Happy, Moment reminds me of Rare Joy, and Craft reminds me of the new Huda Blush Filter in Black Cherry. (Do you have any of those Rare or Huda shades for an Instagram comparison? )
I gave in and ordered Vision, true rose. I thought because I have so much coral, terracotta and nude, rose would be my best choice. I’m not particularly a pink person as pink can easily look more orange on me. I had seen 2 reviews. Both people looked great with it and voiced how pleased they were. I’m so glad to see your review. I don’t think the price was that bad as so many blushes, powders and creams, seem to run around that price today. I am one that misses fashion and makeup magazines. I became far less interested in magazines when they became very political. I just stopped renewing subscriptions. With all of your past experience, you are a blessing. I treasure your knowledge and insight into the beauty world.❤️😘🤗❤️
Thank you so much. For everything. It is true that not only have magazines changed and readership changed, the angle of journalism has changed and become much sharper. I liked it much better when we were just innocent observers rather than having to be political even in a make up review. It’s crazy isn’t it.
Back in the day Daniel Sandler did this first. I still use and love his formulation. I learned my lesson with Hourglass cream products that because they’re “clean” beauty they don’t last and lord knows I’m not going to get through one of those bottles without it going bad on me. With that said they look gorgeous on you.
I love Daniel Sandler, both as a human being and as an artist. And I will say, his are a little bit different. The way they feel and look are a little more unique. These are full on pigment and therefore a little more dangerous whereas daniel’s can be used with a little bit more abandon.
I recently purchased 2 blushes and 1 bronzer from Daniel Sandler and it really is such a beautiful product. He does content on TikTok and looks so beautiful
Hi Rebecca! I always look forward to your reviews. This is the first time i bought something without waiting for your review. There was a NYC pop up and the makeup artist applied Scene for me and I was sold and their blush brush too. I didn't even think about trying on additional colors. I guess that is what your video is for!
Oh YAY! I was waiting for your review on these blushes -I wanted to hear your thoughts before anyone else’s.❤️ Wow! Vision was pigmented when you first applied and it wasn’t even a lot! I think this will be easy to appear on my dark complexion. This is why I love your over application! Moment and Craft are so pretty and with Vision are my favorites! Thank you so much for the review!! You looked so pretty🩷
Thank you so much. Yes I think these are such a great blush for deeper skin tones. They last, if you do not over apply they will not show texture and they give that pretty flush of lip from within color that doesn’t budge and shows up on any skin tone
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Always a pleasure to watch . I love hourglass but I’ll be passing on these blushes . They are very pretty but also very pigmented for me . ❤️🤗
Ooooh, noooo😂 Now the Armani Liquid blush finally is for sale in Denmark and I got the cool pink 52 and I love it. Now I have to consider these … They all seem quite warm though.
I love it!!!! I got scene! It’s the perfect warm pink!!!! I finally found one I like LOL! I may have also ordered the skin tint lol I didn’t know they had a 1 🤣🤣🤣 2 and 3 were too dark in the store so fingers crossed … it’s so juicy and plumping feeling yay!!! I also got Huda Cotten candy which is pretty but I’ve heard no one say it has glitter in it!!!! Ugh smells good 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 Mine were so hot from ups 🤣🤣🤣 I had to cool them off
Thanks for the review. Reminds me of the Chanel Les Bieges Water Fresh Blush which I love. I may pick up that Deep Berry shade. Do you think you could use as a lip stain?
These are so much darker than the Chanel product. Like take the Chanel and times it by 200. I do think this could go on the lips but I don’t think they’re perfect for lips. Maybe with a gloss over they would be pretty though actually
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I actually did pick up the deep berry (Craft) shade yesterday. Totally different formula from Chanel. Very pretty, very intense and I do like it as a lip stain. The formula is moisturizing.
They’re very pretty. I watched Michelle Wang’s review of them yesterday. She said Hourglass recommended working the product into your brush on the back of your hand and then apply. It seemed to work really well.
I am so glad that @calinthevalley24861 mentioned the Daniel Sandler blush liquids! Do you have those Rebecca? Do you know how they compare? I was going to purchase then saw that comment and it made me remember the 6 ones just sitting in my drawer🙄
If anything, the daniel Sandler are more comparable to the Surratt with the sponge tip that came out a while ago and even the Charlotte Tilbury. These from hourglass are much more concentrated and pigmented and even a little bit thicker than any of those that I just mentioned. And daniel Sandler is utterly translucent with a definite water feel. This feels thicker than water.
I love to watch everything new , but i am very self conscious about spending my money after long years of spending on makeup !! I still have my LYS cream blush ( hit major pan ) but still good for another year i guess 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤️❤️
"Do you need more liquid blushes?" Yes! 😂 The last shade looked so nice on you! Do you happen to know how these compare to the Daniel Sandler watercolour blushes?
How fun, you were the second person to mention daniel and I was saying in that reply that I absolutely adore daniel Sandler both as a human being and as an artist. His product is more unique, much more transparent and much easier to work with. These are much more pigmented and much stronger of a look in a way there are apples and oranges really.
Hi Rebecca! These are really pretty but honestly, I like uncomplicated makeup and ease of application… not really needing any extra blush these days- I probably have enough to last me the rest of my life! 😅. It is so punishingly hot and humid here in Michigan… I think the temperature is set to “HELL” today!
Helloooooo my friend! I have been wondering about these. Interested to see your thoughts. Do I need a blush absolutely not. Do I want one yes. Lol I said let me wait for a review to be sure.
Anastasia Beverley Hills is also going to be releasing one soon. I really struggle with applying the Laura Mercier ones because they feel more like a cream rather than liquid blush. 😵💫
Very very true. Like an unleashed cream that’s kind of unwieldy. Very different than some of the other liquid blushes we’ve seen that seem more water than impact.
Wow, it really comes out dark on the cheeks and I’m talking about the first, lightest color. I got the darkest one. It might be an underpainting situation for me. I’ll put it on and then put my foundation over it.
Hi Rebecca! I saw that Nordstrom had these during their anniversary sale preview and I'm so glad I passed on them because they look runny and gross. And as soon as you said "serum," I thought "No, thank you!" For this type of liquid blush, I'll stick with my Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in a matte shade (Grace). Rare Beauty seems to have a lot better color payoff and I prefer a matte blush rather than something dewy and glowy. It's also a lot less expensive. I think my Rare Beauty, blush cost me $23 rather than $36, which is crazy. As I am writing this, I just saw your application on your face and you definitely over applied. With these type of liquid blushes you only have to use one drop on each cheek. That's it!. That's enough product. That's all you need. You want a little bit ham there with the application. 🤣😉
Oh yes, the over application was def on purpose. But also as proof that these are not shrinking violets. Rare has a better product. HG isn't always beaten but I agree with you here that they are.
These look really pretty and I definitely appreciate that they're long wearing. Question, though- - do they all seem to have a slightly warmer undertone? As an observer here and just looking at the online swatches, none of them actually appear to be cool toned, which is slightly disappointing (but correct me if I'm mistaken) .
Hi Rebecca, your poor little voice still doesn’t sound like your normal voice but I hope you’ve fully recovered. Do you think it was the brushes you used, that small with white hairs seemed dense? I could be wrong 😑 also the big brush didn’t do justice either. But I feel any serum blush or bronzer is definitely harder to not go overboard. I’ve found using a slanted/angeled brush.. not too big. I would use a tiny dot and warm up on the top of my hand. Dab my brush in it, then dab some off. I don’t think I can go straight on my cheeks, you are right I will definitely 💯 look like a clown 🤡 😂.. I might grab one, I’m definitely blushed out! 🥴 I have been loving the Rhode blushes. They are so forgiving, melt right in. If you have a similar powder blush or a translucent powder you just lock the color down. So easy! There is one shade that I use as a bronzer/blush.. similar to the Dior bronze blush.. really nice. Must go in store to see the difference in shades. Not in a hurry, I’m even passing on Chanel blushes 😯 but I don’t need anymore 😂 thank you for this video love! Take good care of yourself ♥️🙏🏼
What a lovely comment. So much good information. I have heard a lot about those Rhode blushes and I obviously need to try them. Yes, I still have this darn cough. You will notice some weird edits and cuts in my videos because I’m taking out the constant stopping to cough.
