Me, too, but “my beige” is the cooler-toned taupe to work better with my coloring. White and beige/taupe is always an elegant combination, I bet you look great, friend🙂
I don't like black and white on me, they are very harsh imo. Normally I wear my white summer jeans with a navy t-shirt (like Jackie O), never with a black top. But yesterday I saw a lovely woman wearing white jeans and a light grey top and she looked amazing. I normally wear mid to dark greys, not light grey, but in the summer light grey is actually a great choice and very flattering, paired with white, it creates a less harsh contrast than black & white or navy & white. At the same time yesterday I saw a pix on YT of Emma Watson wearing a simple maxi mid-grey skirt and a crisp white shirt. I love simplicity and neutral colour combinations and again, she looked amazing. I had never thought of wearing white and grey, being petite I normally wear monochrome, e.g. grey top and grey skirt/trousers. Now I'm inspired to revisit my greys and pair them with whites, both of which I have in my wardrobe.
Watching videos about Stockholm street style is also very inspiring, these Swedish ladies (and gents) are as chic as any Parisians, highly recommended! For example one classy Scandinavian lady wore a light denim-blue top and a black skirt. I'd never thought of pairing light blue with black but I've tried it and it looks fantastic, simple but beautiful. Another great colour combination is dusty pink and grey or dusty pink and black, or dusty pink and navy. Dusty pink is a feminine, classy shade of pink that is very classy and very underrated imo.
I also don’t like black and white, I don’t like the high contrast and it screams uniform to me from my foodservice career. But pale and heather greys are perfect with white and off white/cream, dusky pink, even khaki green. I find the soft greys to be very versatile and a nice change from what most are wearing.
Wear the shorts! Your legs look great. My younger sister encouraged me to keep wearing shorts and my short skirts/dresses, even though I’m now 64. She was right, my legs are still my best body feature, why not show them off?
Agreed! I’m 47 but my legs are still toned…no cellulite or anything and I recently started wearing shorter shorts again. I have a few pairs of Frankie shop boxer shorts that I also wear but I still feel and look best in my 4inch shorts. It’s all about how you feel in your clothing..nothing else matters!
You have this fantastic ability to make «boring» clothes look amazing- ❤I always look for «boring» clothes now, and they work for me all the time- makes dressing and my wallet (and the planet?) happy😅

I loved this video. You inspire me to shop my wardrobe more often. Love the looks you put together. I am 67 years old and I am not a big fan of my legs, but I have 10 pairs of shorts, mostly Bermuda style in linen and I love styling them. We have a very hot summer climate in Scottsdale, Arizona, so it is practical to wear shorts. You look fantastic in the white shorts. Consider adding more to your wardrobe.

You really do have lovely legs! However I do know how you feel. Lately I have been experimenting with a lot more shorter Styles and realizing that my legs are just looking good in those styles. Thank you so much for your ideas and honesty!

Dear Mariola, that was very interesting again. I can´t say which is my favourite outfit, you can wear everything.
Under the black vest I would wear a top with a lower neckline to make it more summery. But the combinations of black at the top, white at the bottom seems to be very fresh and not quite as "boring" as the usual combination of white at the top, black at the bottom.
BTW your legs look so beautiful with shorts. Don*t hide them!
What do you actually think about suede bags and shoes?

I love my silk slip skirts, they’re one of the mainstays of my wardrobe, year-round. I wear dresses or skirts almost daily, for their superior comfort compared to trousers. My slip skirts are midi length, I tried a maxi one but found it just too impractical for daily wear. I live in a three-story house, and am always carrying things up and downstairs. Maxis look beautiful, but as a petite, they’re almost always floor-brushing length on me and I have to get them shortened. This length also annoyingly gets caught between the heels of my feet and the insoles of my open-heeled sandals and slingbacks. I love Quince’s mini and midi silk slip skirts, they are perfect and the price is unbelievable, at $60 each. The bias cut is super-flattering on my narrow, straight figure and gives the illusion of the feminine hip curves I lack. I find that the more practical my clothes are, the more likely I am to wear them, so I’m not buying any more maxi dresses or skirts, pretty and visually lengthening as they are. I just got a full-skirted silk maxi dress and it’s going to cost $150 to have it shortened, it’s got a hem that is yards and yards long. I do my own hemming usually, but not on silk, it’s such a pain to work with. The tailoring will increase the total cost of this dress to almost $500, that’s a lot and a significant chunk of my monthly wardrobe budget.
