    I don' get how you're 100000000 times better than my professor. He gets paid a lot of money to teach us this Digital Electronics Course and the stuff he lectures us about is not detailed like this. I am wondering what he is getting paid to do this honestly. I shouldn't have to youtube these lessons, I am paying thousands of dollars to learn this content and here I am listening to your lessons which are 100% better than my "Professor". I just wanna thank you for putting up these videos they help a ton. Without you I would probably fail this course or have to spend countless extra hours trying to understand so thank you so so much.

      your professor is very bad, my professor takes very few money and explains very badly, atleast he is not well paid, but your professor is paid thousands of dollars yet explains poorly, where is this world going to???????

    Awesome lecture man, but is this clock the same clock of computer processor

    • @Confusedalien1133
      @Confusedalien1133 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Every computer contains an internal clock that regulates the rate at which instructions are executed and synchronizes all the various computer components. The CPU requires a fixed number of clock ticks (or clock cycles) to execute each instruction. The faster the clock, the more instructions the CPU can execute per second. A Crystal oscillator is used inside which generates such a 'clock signal' to synchronize activities and coordinate the working of various digital circuits.

    • @saikumarvemparala3495
      @saikumarvemparala3495 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      vishnu priyan thanks sir . So you say that both the clocks are different. Clocks in cpu are different from clocks in memory chips in their operation.Am i correct?

    • @Confusedalien1133
      @Confusedalien1133 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The system clock is needed to synchronize all components on the motherboard, which means they all do their work only if the clock is high; never when it's low. And because the clock speed is set above the longest time any signal needs to propagate through any circuit on the board, this system is preventing signals from arriving before other signals are ready and thus keeps everything safe and synchronized. The CPU clock has the same purpose, but is only used on the chip itself. Because the CPU needs to perform more operations per time than the motherboard, the CPU clock is much higher. And because we don't want to have another oscillator (e.g. because they also would need to be synchronized), the CPU just takes the system clock and multiplies it by a number, which is either fixed or unlocked (black edition models). Now this CPU clock is sent and the 'registers' use (aka memory elements) so if a positive edge triggered clock is used then for every such 'high' clock the register loads any input it receives. As soon as the data is loaded it appears on the outputs, and stays there steady throughout the rest of the clock cycle. And CPU uses it. IT ALL HAPPENS SO SO FAST. Read more about this from this amazing website with a image (at the end) will help you!!
