    Great video, I feel not many equestrian you tubers show this side. Its all matching saddle cloths and ear bonnets! Which is of course great sometimes, but there is a lot of slog in the background especially in colder wetter climates . Can you please talk again about linseed and palominos? I didn’t hear what you were saying, my mum has just bought a palomino Welsh sec D. Thank you.

      Aw love that! There’s defo a very non glamorous side to horses😂 well, non technically speaking if your palomino has a Smokey gene then linseed can darken their coat! It made blondie a lot darker almost dun in colour! :)

    Not enough bedding down

      We have matts that are so thick that they don’t require bedding at all. The bedding we use is only really there to soak up any urine etc 😁 like if the horses were in the field!

    Hi.. Great video. I find turning a hard job into fun. I know its hard work in winter. I got it to come again when I get my rescue witch I'm looking forward to. Keep up the hard work 💪. I was wondering why aren't you both together with the horse's than being separate. When I was with my Friend we had the all the horse's together it was so much easier. Love you vlogs. X

    Must say Clare was looking very glamorous for mucking stables out, happy with the amount of minging used, but upset about the lack of clarty dreich, drookit, smirry, Baltic, snell, sneesi , and blowing a hoolie when it came to the weather , please ensure at least one is used in each winter vlog xxxxx

    I have the same problem when it comes to feeds 🤣 I have two one the opposite end of the age spectrum. My mare is seven and she gets a much smaller feed than my gelding who’s gets nearly half a flat trug of food twice a day with linseed etc and everything 🤣 it’s such a drama haha! Love this video! Thanks for showing your routine in this glorious weather!

    i dont like haynets, but back when i was helping in the riding school i had to fill 21+ haynets in one day, so if i ever need to fill one or two it feels like a treat now 😂 bur my current horse has a hay rack so ive not filled one in years 😳

    Good morning from Australia. Know what you mean as regards the weather.
    I like haynets. Mine are big. Can put an entire small square bale in mine. I just put the bale in and then remove the string from the bale. No stuffing required.

      @MoodyMareDiaries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omg they sound amazing! We only have the massive round bales… not sure how we’d fit that in a haynet 🤣

    • @kippen64
      @kippen64 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MoodyMareDiaries There are haynets for round bales and the big international bales. These are used when there's a big international bale or round bale in the horses paddock. They slow down the horses eating and stop the hay being wasted by the horses flinging it around and the wind blowing it everywhere. I think that getting a haynet with a bigger opening, makes stuffing it easier.
