This chenge is horrible i need that damn 2500 vbucks I always get by buying these crew packs and grinding for the battle pass. i dont want to buy these ugly ahh crew pack skins that they put no creativity on, If i dont cancel my subscription, it means i have to be subscribed for the entire season with the bonus reward to fully complete the battle pass and and for yall that say just reach level 200 then buy and cancel the crew pack it dosent even work like that They can just make the crew pack more expensive or make a premium section for these so we don't lose awards. I don't wanna lose the Battle Pass uncompleted And no, buying the battle pass separately is cringe because with the crew pack, you can get 2500 vbucks for 11.99$ if you grind the battle pass and can get any 1500 skin, and please don't try to disagree on me because you think that's not "honorable way" because that's the point of crew packs you get extra stuff for grinding and playing the game
@@Littlejack69420 how exactly? the crew gives you 4 passes for £9.99 ($11.99), as well as skins, Vbucks, pickaxes… ect, which is honestly quite cheap for all of those. Adding onto that, you get to complete all of them just by levelling up. If you don’t buy the Fortnite crew, buying all of the passes is quite expensive, and obviously you don’t get extra Vbucks.
It depends how much it takes to get al bp rewards in lego and festival in a week or two should be enough to max them, while br and og might not be enough

I don’t think it’ll work like that since the new passes will be XP based and not battle stars. Which means if you buy the crew then the rewards will unlock after every certain amount of xp you’ve gained after buying it. I really hope it’s not like that though

I’ve been a crew member since the beginning, and ever since I heard this was a possibility I’ve been hoping for it. Glad to know I can get the music skins now! (The music pass always seemed too expensive to buy using V-bucks, so I’ve never bought one).
I've been getting the music passes from Metallica and finishing them each season bc i like getting the music and instruments, not having to pay extra for it from now on is really good though

I know What to do , so basically you get the crew 1 or 2 days before the month of the og pass finishes so u can unlock all at once and then you just get the 2nd month too of ogpass and you get all the other passes too and unlock them all when you get the crew
This overall seems like a good change, except for the fact that if you buy a battle pass and then subscribe to crew within 14 days you’ll get a refund but, claiming premium rewards will work like playing games you bought with an Xbox game pass subscription (can only play games you bought with game pass while you have an active subscription). I’ll try to make sure to avoid doing that so I can claim my battle pass rewards whenever I want during a season since I personally don’t think getting a refund is worth needing an active subscription to claim battle pass items. This is very similar to the reason I bought the game Doom Eternal without Xbox game pass.
I believe it means that if you stop the crew mid season, your premium battle pass effectively ceases from that point on. You still keep the items you got up to that point on the premium pass tier.
You don't lose any premium items you've unlocked. If your sub expires mid-season anything you haven't unlocked yet becomes ineligible to unlock unless you buy the pass or resub to Crew.
Unless I'm misunderstanding something here, I think what they're doing here is “encouraging" you to keep an active Crew subscription. I think I'd prefer to purchase the Battle Pass separately. And I may just get the OG pass and skip Chapter 6.
that would depend on how much the og pass costs and how much you get back from it. Hopefully buying both passes will at least end you back where you started with vbucks, and if we're lucky it'll still be a profit

However, it is not yet confirmed how much it will cost and how much you will make back from it. I’ll take a guess and say that it’ll cost less than a normal battle pass (each season of OG will last a month so it will be shorter and therefore cheaper). The OG pass will not be exclusive to crew members.
They are because I never got crew two months in a row, it was worthless you only got 1000 vbucks because the skins were granted on the first of the month throughout the whole month, so if you subbed on the 25th you had crew till next month, got that skin and pack, 1000 vbucks (+ pass or vbucks if you already had it) and next months skin too.

That’s the point people are saying “crews worth it now” but that’s not epics intention their intentions are to over inflate real money deals to force people who only buy the battle pass with v bucks they earned to spend real world money on bloat content. Thanks for the info Tabor! I would love to get skins from the first couple Battlepasses that I missed, even if they're modified to differentiate from the originals. Or if they give the real OGs special styles for the skins they already have, like they did with Skull Trooper, that would be cool too.
I don't think we will be seeing any of the Previous Chapter one Battle Pass Skins in the upcoming OG Passes because of the statement they made the other day about passes prior to August this year will not return in any way. I do think we might see remixed versions like we did with Fortnite OG and to some regard Chapter 2 Remix. But previous skins definitely not

The reason epic is making this change tot he crew pass is because it’s now going to be a loss for them because they’re giving you more stuff for the same price, so they want to encourage those who may have only bought the crew pass once in awhile to have an active membership in it. If Fortnite didn’t take this route we’d probably have to pay $15+ for the new things they’ve added. There is not much of a reason to complain when them changing the way it works if far better than if they had increased the price.

@@FleepacShakurCrew is more of a way to unlock the other passes since I doubt it will take that long to unlock all of them. They are also not that useful after you complete all of the passes other than extra skins. So if anything, you could just use the extra 1K v-buck to buy the BP to keep it up way longer.
personally it will save me money so i’m fine with this change & i’m currently level 100 on this season bp mostly focusing on dailies. so i hope it won’t be too hard of a grind
What I find annoying is that they will take away the normal battle pass if you cancel your subscription. Like what if I wanted to buy crew because I liked the og pass and the battle pass and the music pass, but I only want it for one month? It’s absurd that I already spent $12 buying the battle pass just to shovel out another $10 halfway through. It’s basically paying double. I understand where they are coming from, especially with the new passes, but I think they should make this change but keep the regular battle pass in the same system right now.
Because I'm subscribed to Crewe right now it means I won't lose the battle pass when it ends so by The Crew now if you don't want to lose the battle pass

If they r gonna run through all ten seasons they aren't gonna do two separate bp with all new skins that's too much. Personally the new way theyre making premium rewards works is basically a scam since they say you got a month to get all the rewards of all passes then you either buy again that bp or the crew again

@@dondanana9573 they do that there's a high risk of the account being banned plus their actual main account being banned. Ik somebody that did that and both accounts were permanently banned (thankfully they didn't have much on their main just yet at the time, just item shop skins pretty much).
For those who get crew and then cancel the subscription, when this change goes into effect, the best strategy is to buy the crew towards the end of the season so you can claim all of the rewards from all of the passes at once. This is definitely a win for those who don't cancel their subscription, but for those do, this is a down grade.
Awesome, the thing is it's only really gonna be worth once the season is close to ending. Cause it takes longer than a month for bonus styles and the secret skin. So buying it immediately will not be worth it

Extremely excited for the OG passes and the combination, I’m just thinking about the time locked rewards so it mandates the fact that you have to stay subscribed for all of them. So that mandates almost 3 months of subscription to get everything potentially. (Secret skin, weekly quest rewards, etc.)
Just level up to 200 and wait till the bonus rewards and other challenge rewards then buy the battle pass then get crew you'll get 1k vbucks plus the other passes this way you get everything with $12
That's the thing. This is a great change for those who keep their crew subscription active (especially if they usually buy the music/lego pass), but way worse for those who buy crew just once every season. Epic made this change because they want players to stay subscribed the whole year.
The 50 vbuck changes they are making makes sense. Now the battle pass will be the exact amount in a 1000 vbuck card/bundle. Before you ended up with an extra 50 vbucks and no place to spend it unless you bought a level or used that 50 towards the 25 level pack. Also for those that use to buy the pass and the 25 level pack it turns out being the exact same price because all you did was buy the 2800 vbuck card/bundle and use the total amount, same as new version.
Nice, as a Day 1 Crew member, I can honestly say that they continue to expand benefits. IMHO, the value added has exceed expectations from when it first started.

Just get the crew once you’ve completed the pass. There’s no downside to this deal.

@ my main complaint is that you only have access to that battle pass while you’re a crew member. So if I have the crew pack the first 30 days of the BP and then I don’t choose to keep it up the next month then I don’t have the BP anymore.

The reason epic is making this change tot he crew pass is because it’s now going to be a loss for them because they’re giving you more stuff for the same price, so they want to encourage those who may have only bought the crew pass once in awhile to have an active membership in it. If Fortnite didn’t take this route we’d probably have to pay $15+ for the new things they’ve added. There is not much of a reason to complain when them changing the way it works if far better than if they had increased the price.

@@FleepacShakurCrew is more of a way to unlock the other passes since I doubt it will take that long to unlock all of them. They are also not that useful after you complete all of the passes other than extra skins. So if anything, you could just use the extra 1K v-buck to buy the BP to keep it up way longer.

What I find annoying is that they will take away the normal battle pass if you cancel your subscription. Like what if I wanted to buy crew because I liked the og pass and the battle pass and the music pass, but I only want it for one month? It’s absurd that I already spent $12 buying the battle pass just to shovel out another $10 halfway through. It’s basically paying double. I understand where they are coming from, especially with the new passes, but I think they should make this change but keep the regular battle pass in the same system right now.
It only says to CLAIM those rewards it doesn’t say you have to stay subscribed to KEEP the rewards

If they r gonna run through all ten seasons they aren't gonna do two separate bp with all new skins that's too much. And what's the point of having it be exclusive to the crew member if it's not the original passes to some extent.

Season X was my favorite Chapter 1 Battle Pass, the remixed skins were so good. I hope it’s like that with the OG Pass.

@@dondanana9573 they do that there's a high risk of the account being banned plus their actual main account being banned. Ik somebody that did that and both accounts were permanently banned (thankfully they didn't have much on their main just yet at the time, just item shop skins pretty much).
For those who get crew and then cancel the subscription, when this change goes into effect, the best strategy is to buy the crew towards the end of the season so you can claim all of the rewards from all of the passes at once. This is definitely a win for those who don't cancel their subscription, but for those do, this is a down grade.

The Lego and festival passes have different end dates than the battle Royale one but if you don't care about those than that's a good idea

Extremely excited for the OG passes and the combination, I’m just thinking about the time locked rewards so it mandates the fact that you have to stay subscribed for all of them. So that mandates almost 3 months of subscription to get everything potentially. (Secret skin, weekly quest rewards, etc.)
Ngl as someone who buys the crew 1 time only each season ngl its kinda scummy to block my ability to claim the rewards if I dont keep paying
Just level up to 200 and wait till the bonus rewards and other challenge rewards then buy the battle pass then get crew you'll get 1k vbucks plus the other passes this way you get everything with $12
It's still the same just that you'll need to earn levels beforehand if you want it for the same price
That's the thing. This is a great change for those who keep their crew subscription active (especially if they usually buy the music/lego pass), but way worse for those who buy crew just once every season. Epic made this change because they want players to stay subscribed the whole year.
Also, if U unsub from crew pack, U lose the Battlepass as punishment now. Nothing gets scummier than this.
The 50 vbuck changes they are making makes sense. Now the battle pass will be the exact amount in a 1000 vbuck card/bundle. Before you ended up with an extra 50 vbucks and no place to spend it unless you bought a level or used that 50 towards the 25 level pack. Also for those that use to buy the pass and the 25 level pack it turns out being the exact same price because all you did was buy the 2800 vbuck card/bundle and use the total amount, same as new version.
Nice, as a Day 1 Crew member, I can honestly say that they continue to expand benefits. IMHO, the value added has exceed expectations from when it first started.
Let’s hope the og passes aren’t designed by whoever did the current ch2 remix pass. Holy moly is this one bad.
