After hearing and watching their performance for this song, it just becomes so much more powerful, the aura I felt from their performance even in front of my laptop screen is amazing, and makes me ponder, perhaps it isn't simply only about the overboard beauty standards society imposes on girls to be 'pretty', it may also be about the faults of society as a whole to judge everyone superficially regardless of geographical boundaries. It seems ironic that we are all part of society supposedly being the unique person we are given our different personalities, yet as we seek for betterment of ourselves we have become all the same, at least on the surface. But that isn't true, because if we bother to understand one another, we will find that everyone has their own unique personality. I would love to watch f(x) performing this song in an award ceremony with other k-pop artistes watching haha evil me :)
I love f (x) and 2ne1! They are both so incredibly unique and don't really have a certain genre of music they follow. I mean 2ne1 has really sad sweet songs, really in your face songs, techno/hip hop songs, and really pop songs. And f(x) kind of sticks to mostly pop songs, but every once in a while they come out with a song that is so incredibly out there. That's what makes them great.

This is talking about how Koreans and such all look the same, they all follow the same beauty standard. Red lips, pretty legs, and the pretty little princess, that's what Koreans go for. But, f(x) thinks they are 'Wicked Witch of the West' (I think it was worded wrong but whatever) because they don't have that concept, they don't follow that standard. Maybe Sulli and Krystal, _maybe_, but Amber is a tomboy, so she definitely isn't your average girl that lives in Korea, right? Luna has her strong legs and her dark skin, so she doesn't follow the standards because Korean girls are usually pale and delicate, they don't have a lot of muscle. Victoria is Chinese, so that is already a beauty standard fault in Korea. Even in K-Pop, people look past Victoria because she's Chinese.
