Sometimes I think when these people 'walk away' it is God's protection over us for future glorification of HIM!!! Difficult to think about at the time. Prayers for "fair witnesses to our lives." Finding a genuine, caring community takes lots of prayer & discernment for our own self care.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sometimes God is going to say "enough" for us. I have no anger towards him for walking away, I know that is between God and him. I have instead, a sense of relief. And importantly, the understanding of the fullness of the love of God. I pray for my ex-husband everyday, and I look forward to the rest of God's plan for my life.

Once a person walks away, never take them back. It's a blessing for you to meet a better quality person.

My teenage son walked away to live with his dad. I’m devastated. But I keep praying and god has strengthened me through this. Thank you for your channel and prayer at the end ❤

I very rarely hear discussion around the residual & long term effects of the cessation of a 30 year marriage. I liken it to an earthquake or tsunami with continued aftershocks or layers of pain like layers of an onion. For instance, not only did my former husband abandon our marriage, but he went on to have a child with his affair partner & to rebuild a family unit-while I was left with no family unit or the broken vestiges of what remained with my two adult sons who live in other states (no grandchildren or extended family). I not only lost my life partner but my family unit-and the effects are far reaching & permanent.

This sounds so so tuff. I'm so sorry.have you read the book necessary endings by Henry Cloud. I don't know if it might offer some assistance with processing 😢

So sorry you have had to face that. It's very hard. You don't deserve it. I understand your pain. Seek solace in God. May you be comforted as you read God's Word. And listen to Lysa's videos and ministry

Thank you for this! This is such a hard topic. In your book "Embraced", Lysa, you gave the perfect analogy on day 60. You described being rejected as having someone you love cutting themself out if a family photo. On purpose! My narcissistic grown daughter did just that. Removed herself from my life. To be honest, I do not miss her toxic behavior. But i do miss my 7 year old granddaughter that I'd kept daily for 5 years. Its been 2 years and seems like still something brings the tears almost every day. I am seeking grandparent visitation through the court system. I pray for my daughter every day that God will soften her hard heart. I would appreciate your prayers. Keep up the good work!❤

I relate to what you share. My husband and I have a narcissistic son who chose to alienate us. There is so little spoken about parents with a narcissistic child. The assumption is that either me or my husband must be narcissistic to have had a child with this problem, not the case. I am so sorry for the separation that has occurred with your grandchild and pray for a reconnection at some point. We had no contact with our son for several years but there has been a bit more contact lately. We both tread lightly knowing how challenging it is to deal with a narcissistic personality. Prayers for your situation.

This is so powerful! I am so amazed with these tools . I'm so blessed thank you you guys I needed this !!
two years ago after 18 years. I was like in Lisa's footsteps going through the same thing especially my friends saying when are you gonna get over? That's the hardest thing ever but I need to go through it and that's what God said, you got this. We are going to go through this together and it's been so beautiful since my divorce lots of healing lots of peace lots of love and just seeing the beauty of life. I pray this blesses so many women or men going through the same thing up like a divorce separation you know it hurts but there's a way and God's way in counseling

I would like to request resources to help my adult daughters navigate a divorce. The oldest one has been deeply affected and I worry for her and future relationships. Her father and I were married for 27 years until he decided to walk away. Thank you.

    HELP PLEASE!!
I am learning a lot about attachment styles and their significance in marriage and damaging cycles. For a while It was easy to misunderstand avoidant dismissive folks as narcissists. There is clearly a difference. Do the three of you address avoidant attachment wounds/trauma, and how to walk
Through that healing process with a spouse?
    I get that it’s not a 10 min. Video 😂
Seriously … help please. I want to play a role in my husbands healing instead of giving up.
