I wonder how winter will be
With a spring that I shall never see
I wonder how night will be
With a day that I shall never see
I wonder how life will be
With a light that I shall never see
I wonder how life will be
With a pain that lasts eternally
In every night there's a different black
In every night I wish that I was back
To the time when I rode
Through the forests of old
In every winter there's a different cold
In every winter I feel so old
So very old as the night
So very old as the dreadful cold
I wonder how life will be
With a death that I shall never see
I wonder why life must be
A life that lasts eternally
I wonder how life will be
With a death that I shall never see
I wonder why life must be
A life that lasts eternally

I sit at the open window, hear the crickets singing and I listen to this. I got chills, thank you for this.
Sounds like a good evening! Enjoying a glass of red wine myself and listening to the rain.
Thank you for reminding me to do this song!
I am pretty sure I’ll work a bit more on it and upload a better sounding and more thoroughly rehearsed version.
This was recorded with my mobile.
@@LeivReed There was a storm here, but no rain unfortunately. The wine is the best, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I really like this spontaneous version and I always think that what we record for the first time sounds better than other versions that we try harder for but I can't wait to hear, and if you can send me only instrumentals because I want to sing over the tape. I have been playing guitar for 10 years, but I have never paid attention to classical playing and arranging, I would like you somewhere in future to make a video of how to make a classic out of a black metal song. Gebrechlichkeit I next hahah. Its perfect my friend, thank you once again !
This is a splendid arrangement. Different approach, but still creates that same dark, dreary, mystical vibe.
I’ll take kind of an important exam in a few hours and this soothes me like nothing else could. Not only that, but I’ve also been waiting for this for a while. Thanks man, this is absolutely beautiful.
I think this is one of your finest versions so far keep up the amazing work
Thanks! There is something almost magical about the best Burzum songs. The simple and hypnotic structure.
I have another version of it recorded, with some extra elements and dubbed guitars, which I’ll upload soon.
Ah yes, such a poetic experience, you rock, Leiv!
why does this actually go hard?!

One of my fav Burzum tracks! I saw that video while the sun is rising, so sad that I should wait until night.
What a nice surprise this version is. Yours is not so much a cover as a beautiful interpretation of the original. I find that particularly this Burzum song is more suited to 'clean singing' or speaking rather than scream. Now I am also going to listen to your Norwegian tracks.
Thanks. I hope you find something you like.
@@LeivReed I listened to them. Thank you for the cover of my beloved Darkthone. The Norwegian language is very beautiful and it is a pity that artists from the black metal scene, very connected to their land and traditions express themselves so little in their mother tongue. But maybe for you Scandinavians English is a like a mother tongue.
I thank you for your musical contributions. I hope you have time to publish more.
