I’ve always just jumped onto the back of their head and kept it just slightly shallow for maximum snap down

Hi Brian.
The initial grips look quite similar to an entry into the Pinch Headlock that you showed from Butterfly Guard.
Is the Pinch Headlock an option when your standing, or do you reserve that grip for ground attacks only?

its a actually a higher percentage hold to set up attacks then the front head lock in international competition.
