Gotta agree with Kyle's commentary, this urban freeway has the best scenery of any I've ever driven on. Always fun to drive over the hill at Railroad Pass at night, to see that crazy city skyline coming into view.
This one is fantastic but for urban my favorite is probably i5 through downtown Seattle. Then in Miami, heading east on 836 then merging onto i95 south at night is one of the best skyline views you'll ever see
When I was last in Vegas, in the late 90's, most of these freeways were still just proposals. I-515 was complete. But, I-215 was little more than a connection to the airport. There was some construction to extend it to Lake Mead Blvd. But, that was only dirt and detours. I-11 was just a pipe dream, as the key component, the Pat Tillman Bridge, was still considered to be "impossible". So glad to see that so much has been done. Yes, that new freeway is very scenic. However, it would be a lot more scenic, if they got rid of those ugly concrete/cinderblock walls, that block the view.
Our house off to the left at 7:01. Best commute going north from there even during traffic you can take the moments to take in the captivating scenery, especially during a sunset on a partially cloudy day.
I literally got back from Las Vegas a couple days ago, where I vacationed with my wife. I didn't get the opportunity to explore the highway network as much as I'd have liked to but I finally got to drive on Interstate 11.
Las Vegas beltway! I loved that video you did on it ! Similar videos were done by barbiepoledancer on TH-cam so many times-sadly she hasn’t done any videos since-but your work brings back memories of that ride ! Thanks, Kyle! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
With Clark county finally finishing the beltway late last year, I was wondering if you had a chance to film it during your last visit to Sin City. That said, the beltway's very nice indeed. & the fact that it was build mostly entirely without help from NDOT or funding from Federal DOT is worth mentioning. Now it's a matter of the rest of the beltway be given the I-215 destination & be handled over to NDOT for it to be 100% completed.
It will be very interesting to see the rest of the 515 converted to I11 and not only the 515 part, but it’s currently approved to convert that freeway all the way to the Kyle canyon road exit to I11 and you know what that means… Exit renumbering!
Maricopa county Arizona paid for its freeway system with a gas tax since federal funding for the Eisenhower Interstate had ended. I-10 thru Phoenix was not built and completed until 1990.
One thing I just noticed this night, was a section of 515 (will soon be I11) at the Charleston exit, just got lit up with new high mast lighting they have been installing with the work they are doing (I can see the new high mast lighting from where I live, since I only live roughly a block or 2 from that freeway). They seem to be installing quite a bit more high mast lighting as well (I think they might be installing those to cover most of that freeway all throughout the Las Vegas Valley.)
I remember when the I-95 basically ended at Rainbow Blvd and then was a 4 lane road that you had to cross to get on, lot of recks back then. It also use to end at Main st, that’s where you got on it heading west.
Wow! When 215 becomes a county designated freeway with eight lanes (Auxiliary lanes on the way under construction?), the drivers seem to be treating each lane as if they are their own runway--they take off. This is where we can observe how most of these drivers are from LA.
It intrigues me that the Summerlin/western section of the beltway is county but the Henderson/eastern section is Interstate. It seems like the entire Beltway should be Interstate!
Losee Drive? Another version of Lucy or was the name inspired by all of the nonwinners at the casino/supermarket? My sister used to live in a place called Dresslerville, Nevada--I Am sure you know where it is. I remember never having any coin change because I would stop and "invest" in the education system after buying whatever I was needing at the 7-11 and the Deli across the street.
@@jpeckinpThen don’t make stupid comments?? Like honestly. Saying stuff like that is a huge slap in the face to someone who spends hours and hours editing these videos together not to mention the hours dedicated to traveling to even film them to begin with.
@@InterstateKyle My god what a baby. You obviously haven't a clue what a joke is. I wasn't poking fun at your video. I was jabbing at the fact that I live in Vegas and that there was people using signals and no Nissan's were cutting you off. SLAP!! Hope that didn't hurt your snowflake feelings.

Indeed it does!
Phoenix has some pretty scenery too! I think with Vegas basically being in a valley as you go out from the Strip the elevation keeps rising up

Looks like they finally took out that last traffic light by US 95. It's ready to be upgraded to an interstate now!
Yep! Looking forward to it!

The Las Vegas Beltway sure looks like a nice Freeway, I want to drive that route when I'm in Las Vegas again, awesome video.
You should! It’s a really nice drive!

I couldn’t agree with you more my friend!
Too many interchanges that are spaced too closely on the Beltway.
1:38 I would argue that the descent from I-15 at MM66 at night is far superior 😁

Too good Educational also informative Keep up❤
Thank you!
Hello interstate Kyle,hello Vegas 😁😁

I love my 215, 515, 613 and 11.... not so much for 15 since it's always packed 🤣 even I feel like a tourist when I'm driving on it through LV.
It’s best to drive I-11 during the evening entering Las Vegas valley. Probably the best view of the entire region at night.
I couldn’t agree more!
I’ll need to get a video of that someday!

I think you passed me on that day somewhere near Jones or Decatur.😄

You mean US95. I-95 is on the east coast.
Of course, hands down, the most scenic urban belt routes is the I-215 in Salt Lake.
All the I-215’s are scenic!

At 15:55 and also earlier in the video: is that Mount Charleston in the upper left corner of the screen?
yup, the snow capped peak is Mt Charleston

The overpasses are labeled with the year of their construction, something I think all overpasses should have
I do agree that it is not smoggy.
What you talking about, Willis?! There is no landscaping!
That freeway is pretty...ugly. I think Interstate 55 through the Southside of Chicago is uglier, so it wins the Nonbeautiful Award.
Sorry I think this video is AI generated. Too many signals used to change lanes and no Nissan's cut you off.
You’re an idiot
Sorry, I know my Vegas drivers too well. Also It was a joke. Not sure calling me an idiot was called for.
