Yeah, diamond paintings really are expensive, and so I do think one wants to have a great experience. My experience working on this one was in general good, but obviously I did have a few slight concerns. I have a lot of canvasses from this company in my stash and so I need to work through those before buying any more. Hugs.

I have 4 canvases from TOWTDA. I love their images. I have not started any yet. I did notice that the drills had a lot of misshapen drills and a little more trash than I was used to. But that said I am excited to start one of them. All but one are Finara. I love her work. I love your honesty. Thank you for video.

Thank you for your honest review. I also had a problem with another small company selling round diamond paintings with acrylic drills and saying that both squares and rounds were resin. I contacted customer service, and they contacted the manufacturer and they said that they had switched just recently to acrylic rounds without the company knowing about it. So the owner of the company contacted me and said that they would fix it on their website site and they did. So I think that some manufacturers may be doing these things without the owner’s knowledge and still charging them the same price. Anyways I love the canvas, she is so cute. Look forward to your next review. 😺

I sincerely doubt that because I could just see from working with them that they weren't resin. As far as I know, the store is still advertising resin rounds and so people just need to be aware of the experience that I had, and the fact that these drills definitely appear to be acrylic. I just got one in the mail yesterday and i can confirm they are still using acrylic drills with mishappen drills and drills that are inconsistent in size and shape.
Yeah, that's as I expected, and not good to hear because I did report the drill problem to them with photos and everything (and that was a while ago). And when they responded to me about what their manufacturer told them, I responded to say that they need to investigate because there is no ways the drills are resin. I'm sorry to hear that you also got poor quality drills. My suggestion would be that you let them know, and that you advise them that there is no way that the drills are resin. They should not be advertising resin rounds when they are not resin. And the more people who let them know, the better. ❤️

I am a square drill diamond painter, and I have several kits from The One With the Diamond Art, but haven't started them yet. I hope the square drills are better. I do love confetti and that's one of the reasons I bought from them. It's really a shame that they did not address your concerns to your satisfaction. That, more than anything, might make me rethink purchasing from them in the future.

Hey Kim, your finished painting looks lovely like usual! That’s very disappointing about the rounds. I would also assume dimples equals acrylic as well. I have only done their squares, and I can say I have never seen a dimple. The squares grid is also light and the symbols are either black or white depending on the background, so seems to be quite different than the round symbols.

No way you are negative, Kim! You are fair and thorough!!! New subscribers can count on that. So why would a shop owner pass her problem onto you? That's preposterous.🤨 I don't mind acrylic drills if they are cleanly made and uniform. Resin can have a lot of trash, too. But the point here is that whatever the material, the drills are trash. That's just terrible. You have been more generous toward this shop than it deserves.
I must say that Cathy was very easy to deal with, and she did investigate what i reported. But it seemed to stop there. It doesn't seem like she wanted to do a deep dive into the issue and just trusted what her manufacturer told her. Anyway, I did enjoy working on this one and the end result is good. I will continue to support this store but I do feel that they have some work to do to get their product fantastic rather than just good. ❤️
This is so similar to the experience I had with Create Love Share! They advertise resin rounds too and when I found out they were acrylic I contacted them. Then the manufacturers had some similar excuse. I wonder if they have the same manufacturers? Have you tried the melting test with these rounds?

This manufacturer had a whole longwinded story, but I told TOWTDA that they need to investigate because there is no ways that the drills are resin, and so they shouldn't be advertising resin rounds on their website. PS - no, I haven't even heard of the melting test. I'm not sure that I can be bothered to do a whole scientific experiment about the drills though. 😂. The store should actually be doing all of that to make sure that their drills are what they say they are (because people are having a different experience). Hugs. ♥️
@@catherinesullivan5809 yes! I just took a kitchen torch to some resin and acrylic drills on my unboxing video for Create Love Share and they melt a little differently. I found it from Bella Art De Nicole’s channel. The acrylics sort of melt into each other and melt more quickly and blend colors. The acrylics take longer to melt and melt sort of into separate splotches but also turn black. It’s hard to explain. But you really can tell which ones they are just from working with them. I mostly did it so I could prove it the company I was in contact with about it that they were not what they had advertised. Hope that makes sense!

I just put two tiny piles of resin drills and acrylic drills separately onto a plate and took a kitchen crème brûlée torch to them on a low setting. They melt differently where the acrylic run into each other and melt more quickly. And the resin take a bit longer to melt and just kind of blacken and melt slowly. But you really can just tell by working with them. I did the test to show the company for sure they were acrylic and for the video I did to show my viewers. There’s really not a need for it unless you want to know for sure. You can just tell from working with them really.

You should be fine with your square drill kits. I've heard from others that the squares are definitely resin. PS - I'm convinced that PAM and TOWTDA have the same manufacturer. I have 3 on the way and are squares, if they aren't resin I'm going to cry! Working on a PAM square and the squares are not even at all
