Trips is when you hold one card that matches a pair on the board, it makes a difference because his play was bad but if the board was paired the play would have been even worse. In reality you had what is called a “set” which is three of a kind where the pair is hidden in your two down cards. Either way you got super unlucky!

What kind of action happened preflop to result in C-betting 4000 in this spot?
If I remember correctly, I raised to 4000 pre.Flop.
The gentleman to the left of me that beat me he called and so did one other person.
I have lost more times than I have won with fish hooks. I avoid playing them as much as possible.You know what they say, its all about making the wrong move at the right time. The villain got lucky.

@@LasVegasMagicFriends If You know how to shuffle that good, you’ve surely been around the game long enough to hear the difference between a set and trips.
Trips is when there is a paired community board (I.e. 9972Q) and you hold one of the remaining 9s to make 3 of a kind.
A set is like your pocket jacks hand, where the difference is that you had 2 Jacks in your hand, and only 1 on the non-paired community board.
@drugsrbad475 now I got it yeah actually haven't put any time into poker never been a big interest for me since I don't sit well but I love to get out and talk to people entertain them joke around and do a lot of flourishes that's why I'm always playing with my deck of cards because I do card fans flourishes magic effects Etc that's my specialty is flourishes and on the channel here we have a lot of flourishes in the playlist.
