Good job, Wyatt. Last year I went to watch my 6th grade grandson wrestle, and after waiting over an hour for it to be his turn, he was pinned in 10 seconds. This year he is doing better. I am going to watch him this afternoon.
I spent 9 hours at a wrestling tournament yesterday- I almost took a picture of my knitting to show you that you aren't the only one knitting at tournaments! I got half of a sock done for my husband for Christmas!
Wyatt did very well for his first tournament. I have been to quite a few karate tournaments when my kids were younger. They did karate for 7 years. Great idea taking your knitting with you. I wasn't into my crochet back then as I am now and wish I had been as I could have taken my crochet to do. I hope you got a fair bit of knitting done.
Thank you, Kay, for all the time and energy you put into your delightful vlogs. I look forward to them at the end of super busy days at work. A great way to relax. Peace, my friend.
That was really interesting about the wrestling. I've only got 1 advent project on the go - 20mins every day on a crochet nativity. But I'm also working on crochet teddies amd knitted bags for Christmas presents. Your vlogma company is very welcome as these are all repetitive easy patterns.
I love watching you! You inspired me to knit socks (crazy sock lady #2) lol.... but the problem is I think I started knitting them when I was too new of a rookie, I started teaching my self to knit in october this year and started my first sock november 20th (crochet for 40 yrs). I know all about tension but I had a death grip on that first (L) sock, plus I am right handed and held my thread / tensioned with my left when crocheting, but knitting I hold my thread with my right hand, english style.... the sock was supposed to be for my daughter and her size 10 fat feet, needless to say that 1 sock is tight on my size 7/12 not so fat foot, I was starting to loosen my grip towards the end of the sock and I can tell in the fit. Now I have started the 2nd sock and my tension is way looser, partially on purpose but also because I am not so scared of it...... I am afraid of how they will fit me now lol, 1 really tight sock with a floppy end of foot and toe and 1 sock that was meant for an elephant ... omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have ordered a us 2 to knit my family and their fat feet socks but if you have any words of wisdom, I would greatly appreciate it!!
Well done Wyatt you did very well for someone who has just started. We don’t have wrestling as a sport for kids in Australia at school. Not sure if it’s done out of school but we have karate etc and I think boxing. So much knitting and yarn 😍
Christmas Eve cast on sounds great ! We’ll be at my parents house until the 26th. I plan to cast on the nutcracker skein fr9m dragon hoard yarn which arrived today. I am in love with that colorway ! Hope you got a good bit done on your knitting during that day.
Awesome job, Wyatt! ❤️❤️❤️ watching wrestling in school. And Kay, you will see a huge difference between actual meets and tournaments. You may just need to keep one project in tow. LOL! Thanks for sharing!!!
Glad Wyatt is enjoying that, great exercise and game inter personal skills. My grand daughter wrestled for one year but didn’t continue after the first year, but I figure it taught her a little self defense skills anyway. your socks are coming right along!
I know nothing of wrestling, so it was cool to have an introduction through Wyatt. Proud for him, I hope he is enjoying it! I’m always conflicted on which projects I want to take along, too, but I know my hands can only handle so much so it’s usually one pair of socks or wash cloths in my on the go bag. Love the idea of a Christmas Eve cast on. I hope you have had a relaxing Sunday. I can’t believe it’s only 2 weeks until Christmas!! 😳
Way to go Wyatt! Wrestling is such a technical sport. Strength is important but learning moves and what to do in certain situations until it's like muscle memory is key. They just have to do it over and over. If he sticks with it, he will be winning all kinds of matches. Tell him not to get discouraged, it really can take a while to start seeing real results. Particularly if he's wrestling kids with more experience than him.
I remember those long days sitting in the gym! My petite daughter whose 5’1” and weighs around 100 lbs use to wrestle and she would kick some serious booty! Anyway, great job Wyatt!! That’s awesome that you can sit and knit all day while you’re there. Thank you so much for sharing. It was fun to watch!!❤
Never seen children wrestling before, don't think it is part of the school curriculum here in the UK. Hope you were able to keep on task with your knitting. 🇬🇧

Congratulations to Wyatt!!!
My Dad was big into wrestling years back. It is lot about technical things to get right. He will learn.
I have done so much knitting at my son's sports events. Wrestling is a perfect knitting sport. All day tourneys watching your kid for 3 minutes 😂.

Awesome job Wyatt. Thank you Kay for another great video 😊❤
Question: one of the folks in your yarn swap caked up the minis with the lovely little bands. How are they caking them up so perfectly?!

Is yarn ink 24 days for their calendar? Which one do you like the best?

I am early in the watching and wondered what you guys had to eat all day, how did that work?
They have food at the tournaments.
