Cueva de Las Ventanas Natural Monument

his is the only cave in the province of Granada that is open to the public and the main attraction in Píñar. It has access for the disabled.
The tour covers about 500 metres of the total of 1200 metres. In all there are 300 artistic lights to illuminate the area. It has a number of section rooms with beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations, natural columns and small lakes.
The various functions of the cave have also been recreated, such as a hyena den and a Neolithic burial site.
t is an official Natural Monument and is situated in the foothills of Sierra Arana, in the crevices of a limestone hill formed by karst processes. Its highest point is 38 metres and it contains several rooms. You can take part in workshops and performances, and also enjoy a guided tour, to learn about the way of life of the ancient settlers of this area, from the Palaeolithic times to the present day.
