The issue with this is that a lot of platinum ranked players can pull diamond and master level plays *sometimes.* The difference between the higher ranks isn't down to the upper limit of a player's skill, but their consistency across matches.
You can't watch a single clip of a player and know anything about their consistency of play. Someone who makes so-called "platinum level plays" in every engagement is going to climb to diamond or beyond with a solid squad and enough commitment, while someone clutches with a masters level play every tenth match after choking nine times in a row is gonna end up hard stuck plat.
That is true, also depends on how much time, effort, and, reliable teammates they have. For me for example, yes I can easily get to diamond but I'm not trying to sweat and grind for masters. Especially when the only thing I get at the end of a season is a tacky trail that lasts only one season. The grind and hassle isnt worth it to me past diamond. Silver lobies are hella fun tho

Plus not everyone is at their peak rank at all times, after the ranked resets, people can be sitting much lower than they normally are late into the season so a Diamond player at the beginning might be Pred by the end.
Me, easily a diamond player. But stuck Plat bcuz no friends to play games after work nowdays. The only thing messing up my consistency of play in ranked is the level of skill my random teammates have. The entry skill level for gold and plat is so low. That I question other plat players regularly, like there's no way, we suppose to be the same rank haha.
@@neito.m.6741 I wish I could solely blame my teammates, but, while they are usually bad, my gameplay is incredibly inconsistent due to having terrible rural internet. Turns out it's incredibly hard to track people when you have constant ping spikes and packet loss.
Apex ranked is so bad. So many bad plat/diamond players getting carried. Need a rework on matchmaking (again)

I think it should be based on damage and actually matchmaking with people in similar skill. Had a teammate literally camp the entire game just to get rp points.
Ranked play at low ranks is just inherently different. Ignore fights as much as possible, camp RP. But with higher buy-ins at high ranks, you have to have KP to keep progressing.
Couple that with insanely different ranks and skills in a lobby, and you get frustrating gameplay for everyone.

It’s funny how much he praised the lifeline for not panic ressing. Anyone with even just a decent amount on games on lifeline since her rework knows that her auto res is just suicide in any situation like that
I feel like ranked is something extremely hard to tell because some extremely good players don't take the game too seriously as well as having the patience to keep grinding up so at the end of the day it's really hard to tell through gameplay but this was still pretty interesting 🐈⬛
Like me. I play once in like two days but I am good at the game. It just takes too much time to grind. It's very painful 😭😭

The thing is that some times u just have bad moments it's kind of hard to be consistent in a game like Apex. So many variables to account for and the skill gap could be massive.

You cannot guess the rank in Apex. I am Masters for the past couple season and even hit Pred once and I am pretty sure my Hardstuck Diamond friends play this game way better than me and can drop more 4K than me in a day for comparison. I am only there because of my ranked team/friends.

@@dennisxiong7373 No the difference is I have a squad and they don't. I know my teammates and so I know their comms and get to play off them. They Diamond friends soloQ. My point is from one clip it is almost impossible to tell how good a player is. Look at Nicmercs for change, the way he plays and I don't think anyone would say he is a Pred but take Faide for example and he will be tagged for Pred.
I am better with playing smart, they are pub stompers and have so many hours on Wraith and the moment they switch legends they are going to die to the third party. But I am different when it comes to that.
My point is chances are, your diamond friends are prob diamond. Diamond rank is so saturated with good and bad players but mostly bad. Having a team and getting to pred or masters doesn’t mean you are that level which I agree.
@@dennisxiong7373 solo players are almost always better than 3 stack players in the same rank, at least mechanically and in carrying, but we can't really judge other aspects of their game

My squad literally stopped playing from season 7 , we came back this season and hit diamond . The quality of players in diamond is so bad that in maps that we remember like world edge we can solo solo squads , my theory is that these diamond players basically afk each game into top 10 to get to diamond that’s why their gunplay sucks they try to avoid fights .
Last split we managed to get dia 3 but it was hard because other maps are really unforgiving unlike worlds edge or we just suck and need more time to learn them
Is this based on if the players is solo queued.
Getting into Plat is just an easy task I am no good player I get about 1 kill as an average but I got into Plat so above that is difficult

I think it was more of what the opponents were doing instead of the main guy. The team he fought looked like bots so that's why he put him lower.
Ranked is getting horrible. It freezes at the load in screen and once you close the app and try log back is you can't move when you get back in.
