I think the ideal filter has more well defined edges and Butterworth has blurred images , correct me immediately if I'm wrong

it seems example for ideal low pass and high pass filter is not correct, you have taken example in time domain signal and told you are removing high frequency components, it should be in frequency domain.
Yes... it was just to make you understand... but I did a mistake there... I should have taken signal representation in frequency domain...
