- I visit a car dealer in West Drayton, where we have many not alloweds, and I received threats via email about reporting me to TH-cam and the Police.

These guys made a complaint to police with the customer whose kid it was. To try and get me done for filming a minor. They also wrote a report to TH-cam with this in asking for me to be shut down. I called police myself and they confirmed a call was made but no action taken.

The owner was a top guy really, old school normally don't embrace things like this but he was sound tbf . 40 years in business respect.

I'm my opinion every single one of them guys where very respectful in them circumstances, I would also buy a car from there if I was local! I understand their reaction 100%. I understand DJ does not introduce himself intentionally to try and get a reaction in my opinion and its very irritating how he goes over the same thing again and again,no wonder why they get frustrated!!!
The owner seems like a good dude. Fair play on him for deescalating and being understanding. With 40 years in business clearly they're doing something right 👍

Car dealers are all so lovely. Until you’ve paid for the car then they don’t want to know you.
You're starting to lose people's support mate. Local independent businesses trying to make a living in these tough times. And your attitude has become more antagonistic. Enjoyed your vids before this but you're pushing the boundaries of decency and just being a decent human being.
Whatever you do with DJE, you can't win. If you are polite and invite him in he stills sticks you on TH-cam, if you don't approach him he has has a go at you, if you do approach him he still finds a way to wind you up. I love some of Dan's films but not when he winds up innocent and hard working business owners. THIS IS NOT AUDITING.

I love when people doing wrong always say you can't film me only to find out the hard way you can.
These people need to look up the law before they open their traps.
Plus making a scene and trying to get the video remove just makes people want to see it all the more, also makes people question why you don't want to be filmed and what you are hiding.
Best way to defuse it is to say look around, I'll give you a personal tour and use it as free advertising.
Take the drama away.

I’d buy a car from that owner 5X over. Big respect to him for working hard to cover one fool whose son is in film school. You don’t last 40 years in the car business without respecting people.
Spot on , I live near there been past many times and 40 years in car business is amazing. There are some really bad car dealers in West London. Open up sell a few motors go past a few months later gone disappeared
the owner seemed a top bloke, he went against his initial instincts, calculated what was going on in his head, and dealt with the situation accordingly obviously hes the reason they have been around 40years, nothing but respect, if i was local, id look for a car their, the others, need to learn a little more from the pro,
I thought exactly the same. Poor bloke has built a business and his angry leechey offspring nearly let them down. Luckily for him, he clearly comes from good genes.

These videos are always enlightening for customers who might have to return a faulty car and negotiate in person.
The dealer doesn't want his customers to see how much he is making on each car,the minimum mark up will be around £1.500.Shouldnt be embarrassed when you have overheads like wages,electricity and to fix whatever's wrong with the cars.
The owner was so decent, you can see why he has been in business for so long.
A Honda dealer in Blackpool invited the auditor in for a cup of coffee. Very different to these.

Tbh first looks guy was cleaning cars so that made me happy straight away, I love a clean car, means there being looked after, so the guys got nothing to worry about. They looked busy at start which is also a good thing, nothing worse then people standing about with hands in pockets

It's an audit. Part of that is seeing how they react to the public. And i'm pretty sure his wallet is doing ok. Better than being a copper/traffic warden etc. A copper will/can lie all day every day. Politicians, the same, as we can clearly see of late.
It's fascinating how much some people struggle.
You need to go Peterborough and film some of the independent dealers around there😂😂😂 you'd have a field day
I'd love for you to focus on covering the civil unrest on the streets or wherever, protests, police activity and the migrant hotels. I saw videos of your previous coverage of the hotels and wow, I had no idea, I'm new to your channel- that was some great citizen journalism! Impressive but risky😕 it was unique because I never see anyone reporting about those places and your coverage of the riots and peaceful protests was amazing.

There is no civil unrest happening, so obviously can't report on something that isn't happening. Any protests usually happen at the weekends. Police activity perhaps, but loads of TH-camrs do it, and generally these days they are not as interesting, as they are more clued up about filming. As for the hotels, at present its a hot topic due to what went on a few weeks ago.
Okay 👍🏼 I just don't get this auditing stuff lol, this is new to me, seems a bit strange to go to random places and deliberately start provoking people who work there with a camera on their faces, with a drone and then when people ask not to be filmed by a stranger, refuse to give the name of your channel. Again, just my opinion and I don't know anything about this stuff, what's the point etc. Personally I don't think it's unreasonable for people to ask not to be filmed by you especially if they don't know you, I'd never be able to do that or have the nerve but I don't have anything against DJE, he does his thing. But I can say if he'd be doing this in Finland he would get his a** kicked and arrested by the police under no time lol 😅 the cops are not nearly as polite as they are in the UK. They don't have patience for this type of behaviour and definitely don't react positively to deliberate provocation. Different mentality. Same goes for people when it comes to actions that are considered rude. British people are so polite and patient 😊
@@isabellak1394 Well a lot of points raised in your comment. Here in the UK you can basically do what you want unless a law says you can't, whether people like it or not. In general, the Auditor as you call them, will stand out on public land, that hardly amounts to sticking a camera in faces. The people inside, wherever it is have choices. Either come out or just ignore. Generally it's the former, which like anything, they are entitled to do, come out and ask questions. Remember, the person doesn't have to answer them, that's where things go a bit sour. In other words they are not getting the answers they want. That's when the violence and the NOT ALLOWEDs usually happen, threats are made or police are called etc. Police duly arrived, speak to person with cameras,still in public btw, and for whatever reason ask what they are doing? Not sure about Finland, but our police seem not to be up to speed with the laws they are trying to use? Camera person in a lot cases gets searched or even arrested for the crime of filming, according to the police? I made that last bit up, but in reality that's exactly the case. Yes they maybe polite about it, talk nicely when doing it, but it makes no difference to being arrested either way. Watch others from the UK, it will give you a better Idea on what happens when a person is using their camera legally in public. This is why they do it. Yes it might be to get a reaction, but the reality is they shouldn't if they are in public. In the UK, to add, we generally don't have any privacy when in public, or when the person is filming from a public area, the people being filmed, haven't really got a legal leg to stand on. They can moan about it etc, but it doesn't change what the law says. Things might change at some point, same as drone laws etc, but until then, they can still do their thing, and people will always react, so will provide the content. I call it an education of sorts, more people are getting educated that a person who is stood in public can film anything. Has taken years to get to this point, and no doubt a few more years to educate others.
Can’t disagree with the staff and owners to be honest. Just to turn up and start filming is poor.

Businesses like this need to get up to speed with the modern world, filming a shopping experience is going to be more and more common. They constantly bought up the auction house and no filming, that is fine if they have that policy and signs up to say filming is prohibited. To be fair the owner seemed to sort of get it but a missed opportunity here to really sell his business, personally having seen this I would avoid this business which is a shame. They need to watch the Laser company and how they handled it. Firms need to get a handle on Social Media exposure and use it to their advantage.
