Hello Ms. Danielle, I really want to thank you for taking the time and sharing all your wonderful ideas. I was mainly a full virtual teacher until the last nine weeks of school, then I was face to face and virtual. At the beginning of the year, I had a difficult time translating creative curriculum into the virtual environment. I really missed face-to-face interactions with the children. Tomorrow is the first day of school and my district has adopted the curriculum. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have a better understanding now. However, I am still wondering how the observations/documentation will work in real time with kids.

It’s so interesting to see how others plan. My kiddos are 1-3. I typically prepare the environment once a month and then I have a simple plan for books, crafts activities and circle. Great video!

My district has used creative curriculum for years and we switched to the frogstreet curriculum about 3 years ago.

@@pkpurposefulplay Hello Ivy, Hello Danielle we, here in California use frogstreet too....me myself I am not a big fan....the books are not the greatest and they are not appropriate....that is just my opinion.....

Hello Danielle, my name is Candace! This year will be my 2nd full year of teaching but before that I was an teachers assistant for 5 years. We also teach 17 3-4yr olds. This is our 3rd year going on the creative curriculum and I still don’t have it down just yet but you know how these last 3 years have been, crazy for everyone and not much time spent at school. My question is ....What sequence do you use the studies. We always start with beginning of the year but after that we are told we can use which ever ones we want but I’d like to hear from other teacher the order they use them and why . Like what study goes along with what holiday the best or what time of the year . Any advice would be helpful. Thank you I love your videos by the way.

Hi Candace, I too start with the Beginning the Year study. I usually do Trees next because of the time of year and I like to do Insects in May/June . After that it changes every year depending on what I see the kids are most interested in. Some years I skip some studies all together!

I don't have a set time of day to do drill work. I am very intentional with my small group activities, which is where a lot of this learning takes place (but in a very developmentally appropriate way) I am also intentional with the materials/experiences I provide for the students. You can check out my vides on small group activities and also on transitions. A lot can be taught during transitions and routines!
