He is just a normal human being. But some Thai people, especially conservative , made him a GOD. And made the monarchy as kingdom of God. In Thailand , there is a law that do not allow you to criticize or examine the monarchy in any way. If you try to do , you may end up in jail for years. Everything in the monarchy must be perfect , no fault , all the time. That is the core of political problem in Thailand.

Strange the original purpose of a monarchy back in the old day was to lead the people to prosperity, secure and increase abundance of crops and deter invading forces from entering the land. The monarchy was held responsible to any issues within the community and environment.
that was never the purpose. Most kings had the singular desire to exploit their subjects and own vast land estates while their so called serfs lived in abject poverty. It was only after enlightenment and the french revolution that kings started fearing their subjects and basically started getting their shit together.
