Looks great. I went here three seasons, a month each time, in the mid to late 80's. Surfed it just like this at least 6 times all by myself. However, if there was a crowd those seasons, the max was about maybe 8 guys. I went again in 91' and it was starting to get crowded with sufers and I think max crowd was about 18 guys out at once. 1991 was the last season I was able to make it there. Still looks fun as heck. I don't recall any locals surfing even by 1991.
was there in 97' for 3 weeks, pipe empty, peak still busy but we just had the rights to ourselves, so fun, scored a good day at periscopes with not a soul to be seen, long walk. great memories. Ps. is that The Captain out there?
Amazing wave, but i would be so pissed traveling all the way from Sydney Australia, spending all that money, only to be only met with the same sort of crowds there.
yup, had 40 guys today. Guys pushing girls into set waves. This was my first time and likely my last time I come here. Heading to Sumatra to explore next month
@@OffDaLip yeah wow. I complain, bit I'm sure it is still a great experience being in those quality waves. Hope the next place is a bit quieter for you. I look forward to the next video.🤙🏻
@@kipuchino Thanks. I'll be at Lakey for 4 more days, and there is some swell coming so we'll see. Yea, there are so many islands and so much swell down here. The wave quality is pretty insane, just gotta go off the beaten path 🤙
This is really crowded. Apparently April had way fewer surfers. The inside is all europeans learning to surf and they paddle for every wave. Best to just sit outside with a few guys and wait for the sets. Or wait for a solid 6-10 ft swell and then you don't have to deal with any of this nonsense
I was there last 17 years ago, was a fair few surfers for sure, but barely any local surfers that could surf decent and the level of surfing from the tourist surfers was fairly high so the lineup was pretty orderly. Heard it's a shit show these days. Kooks have infested the planet.
A little constructive criticism, make the wave sounds more subtle at maybe -10 and definitely diversify the audio of that wave track loop or just play music in the background.
Perfection... Good drone footage. Looks like a perfectly crowded day at Lowers, except much better!
Great job with the drone and the photography shots
Thanks. Got some big swells on the way. Hopefully can get some good Padang x 2 shots 🤙

Epic! Those days are long gone lol. That's Captain Dedi Gun 🤙
@@OffDaLip my mate was only telling me about him the other day! I noticed the hat haha legend
@@LordFlashheart1 Really nice guy and great surfer. Always wears that hat, in or out of the water haha
Any questions about Lakey Peak? Lmk 🤙
Also thank you for all your visions.
Personally appreciated.
probably the best A-frame in the world

Headed to blow up more waves and create more huge crowds. What a good plan. 👍
@@globalbossevent7284 Thanks Kumu Hula. Name any break in Indo and there are already 30 Europeans there, and they can't wait to snake you 🤙
Is that considered crowded or manageable or ridiculously crowded?
Wanna know how the vibe is in the actual line up.

@@OffDaLiphow dare people learn to surf eh
@@center__mass you're right, crowds are the best
@@center__mass They can learn to surf at a learners wave not a reef break like this.
@@OffDaLip your coming across as a bit of a noter

I was shocked. And wouldn’t believe it unless I saw it myself.
Fun with 5 guys out. 30? Unfun
especially the types that go out there. Lots of beginners with serious Dunning Kruger going on
