  • Steve Pikiell's program begins summer workouts on Saturday, June 15. News broke on Friday afternoon that Dylan Harper will miss a few weeks due to a voluntary procedure on his knee. Thoughts on his absence and several others including where Rutgers stacks up on paper vs. the rest of the Big Ten, potential strengths and weaknesses and more as the journey begins on the court for the 2024-2025 team this weekend.

Love your in-depth podcasts. This was jam-packed so I am going to rewatch it and go back and watch your interview with Pike again. Can't wait for the season and to see how the players gel on the court.

Development of leadership, playing for each other (e.g. suppression of egos), and clarification of roles will be key this summer. Talent is there, will the attitude be there?

Yes talked about that at length in a pod a couple weeks ago and with Pikiell. Big key.

Uh oh, knee surgery? Hope Harper doesn’t turn out to be a ‘bad buy’. Assuming he will heal and be 100%, the loss here is sitting out the summer workouts. This team will need as much time as possible to jell and figure it out.

He’s expected back in July before summer workouts are over.
