Started as a conductor when I was 18 at princess Rd. Then driver ..inspector company split gm north and south. I went north queen's road. Retired at 69 ,,thanks for the memories..
At the time of commenting, it’s all changed in the last 25 years. Miss the sight of Orange & White & Black Trim GM Buses South livery which Stagecoach gradually eradicated following their purchase of GMS 12 months prior (February 1996).
@sohamedmalah6008 1990s the last time i visited that particular part of south Manchester, unbelievable how very different it looks today. Had to Google Birley fields as I didn't recognise the name, yes your right it is. All the best 👍
I was a driver at Princess Road when this was filmed - great memories, albeit I hadn't realised how dirty the buses were back then!

Love the video! GM Buses South was Stagecoach Manchester by the time this was filmed but many of the GM Standards were still in the former livery
Hopefully you can upload the excellent Glossop Depot one you did around the same time. Absolutely priceless memories.

Hulme is unrecognisable
@trequartbeasta agreed, so many parts of Manchester are now unrecognisable from the Manchester i knew of the 1980s and 90's
