Custom Carved Frame

This is an 8 inch wide custom frame made by combining C&J frames C703 and C708 into one unique style. The frame is entirely hand carved and finished in 22k gold leaf over yellow and red clays.

This is beautiful. What is dabbed on after the gold?

Yes it's water based. Mostly casein. This video doesn't show the step where the patina is applied.

yes of course it mattered, the kind of wood . it's Beech wood
and there is two sorts of quality . the white Beech and red Beech wood or the Romanian beech as we call it .
I think in this video he used the white one .
