Thanks for showing that budgeting is important but it must also reflect your life and your expenses.
Savings challenges are great but we don’t have to do them the same way. If you need to keep money at the bank because you’ll use cash, do that. We need systems that work not systems that make us feel like we’re failing at managing money. Thanks for the video.

Hello Millicent. Sometimes life gets in the way of our plans and you end up doing what you need to do at the time. I would strongly encourage you to start over, I know it's discouraging but hey don't overthink it....🥂

With Cash stuffing you just have to reevaluate it every couple months especially the envelopes and where they are on your priority list. Also, the important savings you never want to keep on you (cash), I have tyme bank for those… Starting afresh with the challenges is a good idea.
EE is bad for everyone 😅, my loss is around R1500, but thankfully the TFSA is on a profit so it’s balancing it out.
I think my money personality is not fit to save cash on hand 🙌🏾 and I have to accept it, trying to challenge it just makes me feel bad about myself and the decisions I make.
However I do want to continue with living expenses cash stuffing, will re-evaluate my envelopes now that things have changed ( goals wise)

That happened to me ka May cleared all my savings coz of travelling from Cosmo to Centurion for the new job and now zero balance but told myself soon as end of June am gonna go back to saving and i really pray n hope all works out because if not all i had planned for end of the year will not happen 😢

It is all about cutting back or getting an additional income if you can. I do a lot of cutting back but it is challenging. Continue saving Mommy, there is no perfect system, do what works for you and cut back where you can 🥂
I think I speak for a lot of people to say, there isn't anything left to cut back without compromising the quality of life and personally - I am not doing that.
I am trying a new method of alternating on " luxuries" and ranking savings by "urgency".
This money system is a tough one, but we soldier on.
Am with you on that. We rob Peter to pay Paul, there really isn't much to cut back on. We do whatever works for that time 👌
Hi Aus' Millicent, nothing is hard like going back to saving after touching your savings but i would definitely advise to just close your eyes and start again, don't think too deeply about it.
I will try hard to just start over.
I thought I'm the only one struggling to go back. We saved for our wedding, honeymoon, and renovation, now 6 months later we are still trying to get back to our feet. Is hard! Or we are exhausted 😭

I think things last depending on how you use them. My stockpile should be empty by end of this month 🤔 meaning they lasted me 6months

Great video.Thank you.I was saving up but May showed me flames.The sales at the shop were very low and i had to use my savings.
So this June I am starting over.Hopefully by December we will be somewhere.cutting down on a lot of things.
The nice thing about savings is that they come in handy when we have low income months 😌💰

11:17 I wish I could be this disciplined when it comes to budgeting. Everything is just expensive, making it difficult to stick to budget
I barely stick to mine but I still budget to see where most money goes and do better the next month and to absolutely outline my savings so that the money is saved before anything else.
If I use my savings for a ‘hurdle’ then once that’s sorted, I go back to saving. So go back to saving, it’ll help you again some other time

Hi Milicent, I enjoyed your content. I would advise you to start over. Last month I depleted my personal savings from 10K to 800. I had to sacrifice this month to just bring that account up again and I plan on doing that again next month. This month is rough but I know this will make me think twice again before doing what I did again. All the best❤

Well, we used to think we spend 5k on groceries only to find that it is more. 😢😢😢
At one point we were spending well over 7K on Groceries excluding Takeaways & that's when I started cash stuffing
